Hua Hin massage ladies and bar owners beg the governor - let us get back to work!

Hua Hin's massage ladies and bar owners have implored the governor of Prachuap Khiri Khan to let them reopen.

 

Around 50 ladies from the traditional massage, bar, karaoke and fitness businesses held up placards and chanted near the Hua Hin municipal offices.

 

Their signs said things like "Let us Open", "We're dying", "We're in trouble" and "We have debts".

 

Their protest came after their businesses were ordered shut on January 4th as part of Covid-19 restrictions. 

 

Thai Rath TV showed the protest in a video posted on YouTube reporting that businesses would go under if not allowed to reopen.

Ban Muang showed a representative group of the ladies presenting a letter to Hua Hin mayor Noppaporn Wuthikun to pass on to the governor of Prachuap, the province where Hua Hin resides. 

 

Thai Rath said it was not just Hua Hin that was suffering - such businesses were desperate in Phuket and Pattaya, to name but two.

Its the "tugging" that got them closed due to close contact.

 

Same suffering in that trade Nationwide, and NCC1701A is but one man though he does try his "hardest" to assist.

Even if they were allowed to open there is no business, here in Phuket they are allowed to open the one on the end of my Soi is closed down last week, punters are just not going in them

Ive not had a massage for ages, especially where I live they are all dog's cant even say they look like old hookers, must be the end of the line when they get to Rawai

Very difficult for the ladys at the moment no money no honey

If they close the provinces & limit travel inter provincial, the bars & massage could open 

as long they observe the covid contact  rules & close at 1am.

The number of infections seem to be mainly in what are now contained areas & if they continue 

diligence on travel then would be a good step back
