A raiding party of police headed by the Chiang Mai provincial commander Pol Maj-Gen Phichet Jiranantasin went to a two story house in a luxury resort in Moo 7 of Sansai district after receiving reports that an illegal casino had been set up there.

Inside were 34 gamblers playing baccarat. There were 30 Thais and 4 Cambodians.

Police took them all away and charged them with gambling and contravening the emergency decree regarding Covid-19.

All were tested for the disease. The media did not report any results.

The players were using chips to gamble. Taken into evidence were 26 slot machines and other equipment.

Daily News reported that the casino had only been set up there for two days after moving from central Thailand.

Clearly the brown envelope had not been passed on, ( Natai Beach please note i said brown envelope.????

Noted.

The operator will now be required to kick the pork into the dogs mouth.
He should have paid the police under the table before the money was bet on the table.

Thais love their baccarat.

I'm stunned just how wide spread gambling is. I was led to believe by DPM Prawit that gambling did'nt exist in Thailand? Could someone in such authority be THAT wrong??? Surely he would'nt fudge the truth, would he?
