Child rapist/murderer arrested at his home after massive police manhunt

The man known in the Thai media as "Ai Haeb" responsible for the rape and murder of an eight year old girl in Korat, has been quickly arrested.

 

A massive manhunt was launched by Nakhon Ratchasima police, Region 3 officers and men from the Pak Thong Chai police station after Paeng was found raped and strangled. 

 

But Anuwat was arrested after he returned home. 

 

He said that he had seen the little girl holding a blanket walking from her house to her gandma's.

 

Feeling the urge for sex he grabbed her and took her to a pond area where he raped her once then strangled her and wrapped her in the blanket. 

 

The incident happened on Wednesday evening.

 

The suspect was being interview by regional commander Pol Lt-Gen Phanurat Lakbun.

 

After the murder he said that he fled into the woods near Ban Map Cheuak and stayed out all night. But he got hungry and had no money. 

 

Thinking the police would no longer be at his house he returned to eat and get money before planning to flee again.

 

He was in custody by early evening yesterday and has been initially charged with abduction of a child under 15. 

 

The case was widely followed by the Thai public with the little girl being reported as 9 years old elsewhere.

 

A reconstruction of the crime is expected to take place today.

I hope he gets what he deserves when he is in Prison every day .

How can any man do such a disgusting thing?

Revolting excuse of  a man, let him loose with a few mothers, job done, no need for court / prison, as he would be dead.

Cap the scum and be done.

Mere words fails me... However, if this man was sane and coherent while preforming this vile act, he should be dealt with very severely...

I find it very difficult to find the words to express how appalled and revolted I am to read this.

So very tragic for a young life to be defiled and snuffed out in the most terrible way.

RIP little one. I am sure your murderer is going to be in a world of pain for the rest of his miserable existence.

When someone freely admits such an attrocity, there should be no further discussion, EXECUTED !

If I was a family member of the Little girl I'd be needing help with bail money by now

Disgusting! It´s amazing how many time we read this combination of word, everytime a man takes what he want and feels entitled to. Such a bad commercial for normal loving men with a sound conscience. Some times you wish that the old ways of punishment still prevailed.

Watched the arrest this morning on local news. Judging by the speed that the arresting officers had to get this guy into the back of their pickup and out of town, are they planning doing this crime scene reconstruction in Idaho?

absolutely right.  When there is indisputable evidence of guilt, with no ambiguity, then capital punishment is justified.

the world is full of these men and their needs and abuses... at least, cut off is  b.... and hopefully he gets beat up everyday in the prison ...

Unfortunately many people have admitted to murder even without duress and have been found to be completely innocent. Strong forensic evidence is always important. Though if course it is very unlikely to be the case here.

My vote is he is tied to a chair and the whole of the victims family get to take it out on him with instruments of their choice

Sadly it seems mom and grandma were just too busy to send her. RIP little girl.????

We need to find out what makes a person like this tick. We need to know more. Only when we learn the nature of the beast can we hope to save victims of the future. There has to be something - the way he is wired, his environment?. He claims he was overwhelmed by a desire. Somewhere there must be an answer. 

He admitted to an extremely disturbing and heinous crime. He should be executed, quickly

Not MURDER....

He admitted everything, thus his sentence will divided by 50%.

Expect to see this "SOB" roaming the streets in a few months (unless somebody let justice preveal).

I think the key word is "initially" which indicates that it is the first crime committed, so 

I would guess, the first one to be charged with.

 

Hopefully this is because the police are trying to gather enough evidence to charge him 

with the other awful crimes committed.
