Forced, this sounds like some sort of human laboratory experiment. I have lived in Thailand with my wife for several years and will gladly pay but FORCED, I don't think so.

For all of those "farangs" that have graciously donated time and money to help feed the starving local population put out of work due to Covid-19 I think it is time to STOP! Well, the adverse reaction happened in the states. I reported it to CDC via a VAERS report, but nothing was done. The law there states that you cannot sue a pharma company, so there is no avenue for a legal process. If we can get a waiver from the US doctor, how far does that get us here in Thailand? I mean, my US marriage cert or bank statements don't work here.
Hopefully, they'll loosen up a bit.

Thanks for the suggestion and kind words. No, she won't be able to. Most vaccines (even oral) have same or similar ingredients. Honestly though, even if a doctor said she would be ok, I wouldn't let her. The doctors told us the vax that injured her would be ok.

Medical exemptions are always available. I know of no country where medical exemptions aren't honored, though they're getting pretty close in California, where such exemptions are scrutinized for school entry. Other than that, no issues. Not even in China.

 

Secondly, the vaccines are NOT licensed for children in Thailand. Therefore, a child can't be forced to take one, no matter what the law might say about adults. 

Thanks for the suggestion. She is 26 now, but had the shot when she was 13. We have to go back to the states in Oct for my older daughter's wedding, so just trying to figure this out. Good to know about the not licensed for children though.

And how much tax is one paying with money forced to be keep in a Thai Bank+ All the VAT we pay on Services and goods we purchase.

you would not be FORCED, you would be given a choice, vaccine or leave. You may even find in your home country that its vaccine or stay out,  and later, no vaccine and therefore no travel, no hotel bookings, no  school attendance for children.

Correct ,but I see an article saying free vaccination for people paying tax. I pay 15%  on money deposited in the Thai Bank. 15% of one million I would think would cover the vaccination jab. And this tax is paid every year. 

In the US, you can get a free bag of weed if you take the jab to the throat.. uh... arm..   I plan on getting vaxxed every week. lolz..  Just kidding. They're not putting that garbage in me.

She was shocked as she expected a massive bill as we would have in Thailand...... Even when i go home, i left 30 odd years ago, nice to see you back Mr ...... Both at the Gp's and the hospital......  Don't compare the health system in Britain to Thailand...... A bit like comparing Anutin with Bamber Gascoigne......

The NHS surcharge is paid when they apply for a Settlement visa and then again for Leave to Remain. It is compulsory so any Thai "living" in the UK with a legal visa will have paid it.

 

"The Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) is a fee levied on the majority of UK visa applications. ... Also known as the NHS surcharge, it essentially adds £624 per year per person to the cost of a UK visa, or £470 a year for children, students and Youth Mobility visas."

You still have plenty of time to sort this out but as has been suggested previously, if you have a medical exemption certificate (perhaps start working on this now with your American doctor) coupled with a certificate from a Thai doctor, I can't see how you will experience any problems. 

All countries will realise that not all people will be able to be vacinated and will have special dispansation for those that can't IF you can prove your daughter is exempt.

from what ive noticed, their biases and opinions are nearly all the same from all wrungs of society.

 

Ill bet the remaining 99.9999% of society  would pretty much give all the same results as what this poll reported.

 

It took me a long time to even fathom it could be that way, but ive been around a fair few of them in 10 years, so it cant just be coincidence.

The actual figure is more like 15%, according to ONS data.
