COVID-19 Vaccination for PM on Feb 28

 

 

BANGKOK, Feb 25 (TNA) – COVID-19 vaccination was set for the prime minister and the public health minister on Feb 28 and for people on March 1, said Dr Sophon Mekthon, vice minister for public health.

 

Dr Sophon who headed a government sub-committee on COVID-19 vaccination, said the Department of Medical Sciences would first verify vaccine production lots and check the efficacy of COVID-19 vaccine from Sinovac and AstraZeneca companies.

 

Then the vaccination for Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha and Deputy Prime Minister and Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul would happen at the Bamrasnaradura Infectious Diseases Institute on Feb 28.

They are making such a big show of the two top dogs being vaccinated first, when really, those in actual need of the vaccinations should be receiving them first, and the leaders should show actual leadership, by getting the vaccine to health workers and people in areas where they are dealing with outbreaks.

Other than looking at data from countries with a successful vaccine roll out program how do they propose to "check the efficacy" of these vaccines? More showboating to fool the public into thinking they know what they are doing.

It will take 5 days to organize vaccinations for 2 people?

but they have said that the next day after arrival they would already be given to medics. So today suppose to be rolling out.

Hopefully that noodle vendor in Bangla who got shot by the cop will get his vaccine. ????????

Why not on Feb 29 ? ????

Seems he is willing to risk having a vaccine that many European countries do not use for old folk, like anyone over 65! But then we all realise that he knows better than anyone else in the medical fraternity.

Press needs to be notified..officials need their uniforms taken out of mothballs and the caterers need to be notified regarding the buffet menu

How are the public to know if they use Sinovac  / AstraZeneca / Pziefer or Moderna vaccine? Someone from Nakhon Nowhere sit beside them when the seal is removed from the package?

That's easy.

When you attend for the injection they ask which one you want, after your reply they stick the  appropriate label on the vial before showing it to you.

They will probably lie about it, they lie about almost everything else.

very likely that the thai government already has small quantity pfizer and moderna from diplomatic channels and all of them are vaccinated.

 

even astrazeneca turns out to be tried on control group only up to 65 yo, prayuth is now 67.

 

The only way Ill watch is if he takes the dare and does the Sinovac...  or is that just for the rabid masses?

I’m looking forward to the pics of them pointing at the vaccine.

European countries are just managing demand because of the EU's failure to procure enough vaccines. Real life data from the UK shows the Astrazeneca vaccine is extremely effective in all age groups, with a single jab lowering your chance of hospitalisation by 94% (compared to 85% for the Pfizer jab).
