Police are investigating after holidaymakers discovered human body parts under their car after stopping at a gas station in Trat province early on Friday morning.

Police and rescue workers attended the horrific scene in Khao Saming district just after 6.30am, Channel 7 reported.

The driver of a Honda Jazz vehicle told police how was part of a group of nine friends who left Pathum Thani province in four cars on Thursday night. They had been travelling to Koh Chang where they had planned to spend the long weekend.

After they had stopped at the gas station, a friend in another car saw what he presumed were the remains of a dog under the Honda Jazz.

Upon closer inspection and to the driver’s horror, he realised the remains were human. Police said that parts of a torso, an arm and a leg were found trapped under the car.

The driver said he had spotted what he thought was the carcass of a dog in the road about 3kms  before he arrived at the gas station.

Rescue workers later searched parts of the nearby Sukhumvit Road and found more body parts scattered over the road, which were collected in a bid to identify the victim.

Police took away the Honda Jazz in order to continue their investigations. The group said they would continue their holiday to Koh Chang as planned, instead travelling in three cars.

That Honda jazz sits way tooo low to the ground.

it’s dangerous

rips off spoiler if you hit a bump

Honda Jazz has a ground clearance of 135 mm.  Unlikely the jazz went over a whole body without someone noticing it!

This story creates so many thinking processes:

They were in 4 cars. Where in the procession, was the car that had human remains under it?

If they were 1st, 2nd and third  - did they see it?

Did any of them hit it?

Did the police check under the other three cars for other evidence?

Did the other four drivers see a dog carcass?

did they see anything?

When the driver saw the dog carcass, did he drive over it?

Why didn't he drive around it?

How fast were they all going?

Did anyone feel of hear anything as the driver went over the carcass, human or dog?

Why didn't they stop to check for car damage, at the very least?

Didn't the thought occur to the driver, or other occupants that he should have checked what he had hit? After all, he only 'thought' he saw a dog carcass.

And finally,

How could anyone continue their happy holiday with the death of a human being being so closely linked to their vehicle, whether that unfortunate person was dead or alive prior to being glued to the underside of this guy's car?

When I drove over a dog carcass it made a huge bang and thug  and my car is higher then a Honda

Been driving one here for 7 1/2 years. Hit plenty bumps, spoiler still firmly attached.

Doing about 60 kph and hit a dog on the way back from Rayong back around 1982. Smashed the whole composite front bumper on my Mazda 626.

Obviously these newer spoilers  are made of sterner stuff.

Maybe the deceased had fallen into a hole in the road, some like sinkholes there are lots of them.

This is not the first time i have read about a body being stuck under a vehicle & the driver not realizing, maybe if it was a large truck, but you would still see it in the road before running over it & there was a group of them travelling in other vehicles & they never saw anything either......
