CHONBURI (NNT) - Pattaya city has begun administering a second batch of vaccinations to frontline workers and medical personnel with plans to inoculate all 100 percent of its population as one of five destinations marked by the government to receive foreign tourists.

Pattaya Hospital administered 285 doses shared with it from Chonburi’s 20,000 doses on April 2.

A total of 175 doses were given to medical personne, while 47 were provided to immigration authorities and 63 to frontline workers. A second dose will be given to the individuals on April 23.

Once all frontline workers are vaccinated, Pattaya aims to provide inoculations to 100 percent of its population so that it can become one of five destinations chosen by the government to welcome international visitors.

Mayor of Pattaya Sonthaya Khunpleum, has indicated the city is ready to be one of the five destinations, noting it hasn’t recorded any strong reaction among those receiving a vaccination so far.

Going to have to do a whole lot more than 285 a day over the next 6 months

Dragging this one out with minimal  amounts dosed having no impact.

Waiting until the local Pharma owned by ??????? get their act together to save foreign currency & line pockets

And there are serious people giving vaccines to their front line workers Etc Etc in the Thousands of Vaccinations a Day.

What an embarrassing news report for the Thai Authorities.

The Thai's will not be able to propaganda or spin their way out of this one with the appearance of doing something, yet doing nothing.

45,500,000 Thai's will have to be fully vaccinated.  It's as simple as that.

They best hurry up before mutations see the current vaccine useless.

"Frontline workers"... Should have started off at Soi 6 and then Klang Massage parlours...????

The fact they are prioritizing immigration people is a good sign they want to get tourism up and running again.

No point vaccinating immigration officers without vaccinating those working in the hospitality and tourism industry here.

Went to IO Wednesday afternoon for a re-entry permit. Heaving in there. Far more in there than any bar in Pattaya
