PHUKET:-- A man escaped serious injuries after he lost control of his pickup truck and hit a tree on the northbound section of Thepkrasattri Rd in Mai Khao early this morning (Apr 20).

Capt Akkarapol Siwilai of the Tha Chatchai Police was called to the scene at about 6:45am.

Police, together with Kusoldharm rescue workers, went to the scene to find a heavily damaged white Toyota pickup truck laying on its side on the central reservation area after having crashed into a tree.

According to the royal ministry of transportation, roadside trees are now on the endangered species list.

A witness at the scene told police that the truck was being driven at high speed in wet, rainy conditions when it  the idiot who thinks he can drive, lost control, careered off the road and hit the tree.

There, fixed that sentence for them.

Don't give the driver  any ideas?????

Might explain why many many trees have been reported to be losing leaves when pick-up trucks drive by.

Also suffer from PTS so it appears...

I guess it's just luck that the truck wasn't transporting a heavy load of cheese, otherwise there might have been traffic delays as road crews would have had to clean up all of the de-brie.

Power poles & trees are a prime target.

I would have assumed nothing else.
