Thailand expects up to 20 million doses of Pfizer vaccine from July

it's going to take over 6 months to vaccine all the population of Thailand, and then there is organizing the vaccine marathon

this is what Europeans are facing, the problem is not only the number of doses, but the logistic distribution and getting the population have their shots,

if they are waiting for this to happen, don't expect Thailand to open before March 2022

Wow! These four-five companies are making a lot of money!
I believe they will not want to leave this safe business at this point.

One/Two jabs per year, eventually we will no longer have the deltoid.

Thailand could have dipped into their massive foreign reserves to make down payments. Maybe they decided they needed that cash to pay for submarines and high speed rail

Ultimately those decisions are not ours to make and on hindsight, many other countries could have done better too. I'm just surprised anyone expected Thailand to do better based on their culture and political history. What I learnt years ago was they will never evolve to anywhere close to an outsider's expectation of how things should be done.

most likely Moderna vaccine will be in thailand before the pfizer

Supposedly, Pfizer will be here in July.  That's a guess on their part.  Moderna is looking more like 4th quarter.

I got this from Richard Barrow's Twitter site.

Thank you. for sharing the graphic which impresses at first sight.
It would be nice to know what the two asterisks mean. ????
Two other unknowns are how painless production and distribution start of AZ will be and the further course of the pandemic here …

They mean "estimated"!!!!!  I'm guessing they'll miss these dates....lots of moving parts, easy for things to get mucked up.

I take it you are saying they will be oversupplied, in that case they can start giving them to the Soi dogs, nothing wasted.

They shouldn't discriminate against the feral cats though.  ????

"Pfizer is coming," health minister Anutin Charnvirankul posted on his Facebook page.... and

"I am leaving".

Oh no, sorry, I am just dreaming

.

Rather, I am voicing the fulfillment of the dreams of an entire nation, who have distant hopes of competency, and just leadership.

they better rush with the J&J and Pfizer as the AZ appears to be not too reliable regardless of the age

There have been reports, ~ 18/19 April, that the locally produced AZ vaccines have been pushed out a month, with the first batch of 6 million due in July.

Although there is a bit of confusion on this.

Pfizer is cheaper than Sinovac and they are ready to sell to Thailand and most people would prefer Pfizer but they don't buy why not?
Same thing in many 3rd World countries all going for Sinovac very strange.

Pfizer / Biontech is in very high demand in the EU, that's why they almost can't sell something to other countries.
