A Thai man who fled a Covid ward at a Ratchaburi hospital yesterday lunchtime on a motorcycle is now back.

It appeared that the man was allowed to collect some clothes but didn't return.

The kamnan (local leader) of Tha Chumphon sub-district Prasong Tinop made an urgent announcement for information as to the man's whereabouts as fears of Covid spread gripped the area.

However health officials at Photharam Hospital managed to contact the man and talk him into returning. He drive back to the hospital on his bike.

He was met outside the hospital in a specially adapted wheelchair.

Provincial governor Ronnaphop Leuangphairot later made a visit to the hospital to inspect matters and lend his support to people being treated there, reported Thai Rath yesterday.

that could double up as a roasted chestnut cart  ..

why not give him an electric one so he can drive himself about ..

Just need some flashing beacons and a klaxon for " get outta the way I'm infected " to let others know ..

What no bars on the wheelchair?

'Provincial governor Ronnaphop Leuangphairot later made a visit to the hospital to inspect matters and lend his support to people being treated there, reported Thai Rath yesterday. ' And what good did that achieve other than getting his name in the media? His visit, with entourage, just increased the risk of spreading infections. What happened to the issued advice. 'Stay home unless it is essential.' Unless you are the Governor of course.
