Thai woman's "miracle" recovery sparks lottery fever in Suphanburi!

The nails were almost down on coffin number 345 that had been ordered for a Thai woman at death's door in Suphanburi, central Thailand.

But at the eleventh hour (well more like 11.59...) after all the arrangements had been made for her funeral following 14 days in a coma she remarkably recovered completely.

Now Thais in Song Phii Nong district of the central province have been lapping up lottery numbers for the next draw related to the coffin number and anything else to do with the woman's circumstances.

Daily News reported that ticket prices have gone through the roof and everything has sold out after the story hit social media.

Undertaker Mr Madam Kaewnoi attached to the temple of Wat Srichalermkhet had been contacted and assigned coffin number 345 for Thatsanee Srisawang or "Yuak" aged 47.

She was suffering from sepsis in Somdej Phrasangkharach 17 Hospital.

She had spent 14 days in a coma in ICU room 33 in building 3 on the second floor (remember the numbers....)

Doctors told the relatives including husband Srisawat Pansang, 54, to prepare for the worst.

The relatives were just about to remove life support systems.

They had borrowed equipment from the temple to have the religious bathing rites at home and all the monks were invited to do the obligatory chanting.

The cremation day at the temple was chosen.

Then Yuak stopped the funeral by recovering completely! The media called it a miracle.

Srisawat - who had already paid for his wife's coffin - redirected it to another temple for use by someone who might die without relatives or money.

Then the lottery fever kicked in.

The number on the coffin was highly sought after - 345 - then came combinations of all the other numbers in the story - 47, the age of the lady, her house number 75, Moo 7 where she lives, 14 days in a coma, Room 33, building 3, 2nd floor, Hospital #17.

Ticket prices rocketed and vendors were soon sold out.
