COVID-19 will top the agenda when the new session of Parliament kicks off this week, with battle focusing on executive decrees including the bill for another Bt 500 billion in borrowing to stimulate the economy.

Opposition parties are poised to grill the government over its move to add financial burden to a country already sunk deep in debt.

During the initial outbreak last year, the government issued an executive decree for loans worth Bt 1 trillion to combat the pandemic’s economic and social impacts.

Yeap, but just think about the kick-backs it generated - oh! what a feeling...

Well Sino-Thai were  the main contractors for that ridiculously ugly parliament building so Anutin and his family were at the trough at the very beginning.

Wow, now that is quite the haul in pocket money for dipwad and his family. Big oversized Red Chinese gift envelopes for everyone as this cannot be scrutinized.

Social Distancing has to be practiced, and leg room has to be found for Prawit to have a comfy snooze.

I think plenty of Thai people are sick to the back teeth with Prayuth and Co.

It would be so so good to see the back of this lot, a sort of Thailand that we and the locals are used too, except of course for the few Prayuth sycophants that reside in here.

The second largest and second most expensive parliament building in the world, after Ceaucescus "Palace of the People" can be seen in the pic above.

Hopefully the majority of these drongoes will eventually meet a similar fate to the deluded father of Romania for their hubris and crimes.

Oh, wouldn't it be funny to see the look on Ceucescues face ( when the crowd started to boo)  multiplied some 500 times!

And so right the government should be grilled about there complete failure to combat this 3rd wave, and secondly the amount of borrowing which seems to be of little benefit for the people who matter.

Yes, and it's bigger on the outside. wink

What a colossal white elephant. And let's not discuss the cost, the delays, and the associated "fees" paid. And the construction company and their president.

The level of corruption on this alone dwarfs anything a Shinawatra could dream up.

All for a building which serves no more purpose than a 20 baht rubber stamp and an ink pad.
