This is a hierarchy-based society. You should know your place in this hierarchy. 

 

 

 

Perhaps ex-pats should be given a bit more credit, in this formula? We do bring in alot of stable income.  Even the rural folks benefit. Alot of the nicer houses in the poorer farming areas were built with money from expats. Alot of trucks, cars and income is from expats. Countless business employing many. To say it is insignificant, is a blatant misunderstanding of Thai economics. Thousands of hotels, restaurants, countless airlines and many tour companies, also benefit. By comparison, an average ex-pat spends how much per month? I would say alot of us spend 50,000 to upwards of 100,000 baht a month. I know I do. No value in that? I know some live on less. However, since the average GDP of the nation is around $570, that means about 18,000 baht a month?

 

I think xenophobia is utterly rampant, in all segments of the government here, from the feds right on down to the local amphur. However, I do not think most Thai people are that way. I think most either like us, or are indifferent to us. Which I can handle. 

 

To the contrary, I think ex-pats should be treated with the kind of respect and acknowledgement we deserve. We have decided to change our policies, and we now realize how much you guys bring to the table. An immigration officer will now come to your home to renew your visa, to show our appreciation, of your continued support. You will only be required to sign one form, and we will give you a five year, multiple entry visa. Free of charge. And we will include a 10,000 baht voucher, good for any hotel in the country, for one year. 
 
Princely treatment. Thank you so much for helping to rescue our economy and our people. We appreciate it, and aim to show it for a change! We are past the era of thugs like the big joke. And we apologize for all of his abuse. We realize we have been moving the country backwards. And Covid has given us all some time to reflect. We are going to start changing things, and attempt to move the nation forward, instead of backwards.

I, also at first thought it was good only for Bangkok and Pattaya, but, once inside, there are pull-down menus for province, town and district.

Sadly, it doesn't work. You can get so far, but it keeps dropping the information you've keyed in, so you go back and repeat, (several times since it was "launched" on Monday). I think a few may have successfully booked online, but the majority cannot proceed to that stage.

Which is great, and I am genuinely pleased for you. Two points however: you have had your vaccination arranged by a third party which has the influence to do so, (apropos of that I wonder how long before "agents" raise their heads above the parapet); and secondly, the public vaccination programme seems to be erratic to say the least, in accepting foreigners for registration, and decisions seem to be being made on grounds of race rather than clinical need.

I never had that problem. Maybe try a different browser? I also waited until after 5:00 pm to fill it in.

I have tried Chrome, Firefox, Extranet (IE tab), Microsoft Edge

 

And now today this:

(Have tried multiple times to "reload" the information, which keeps dropping, viz it's not saved.) Just nationality, province, district, subdistrict repeatedly ad nauseam. All the other information is saved.

I agree, but will anything change. Not likely. I've lived  here 6 years with my thai partner and her son. Built 2 houses and spent a lot of money. Do l feel valued here? NO. I am presently submitting spousal immigration application and getting out. This vaccination hierarchy was the final straw.

We live here and are not treated fairly. Thais can go to my home country as a visitor and receive a quality vaccine. No questions asked, no cost.

Around the world, in most civilized nations, a foreigner who is living there, and contributing alot to the economy, is often treated with respect and regard. However, we are not regarded here by this administration, as anything other than a pain in the +++ and a bad influence on the women.

I’m not confused they are. I am over 60 and have three qualifying conditions. I registered on 3 May and got an appointment on 2 August. Another expat my age with no health issues registered on 7 May and received his first shot already on 7 June.

I was able to make an appointment using Mor Phrom and I was also able to register on the new online site.
