At what age did you actually start feeling old?

Count yourself as having won the lottery of life then. If I were the ruler of the world I'd ban marriage as it is now.

I was never married and I don't have any kids.

Now, because of your comment, I have that lottery feeling. ????

When you stop dreaming.

When you feel you have lost control over your rate of decline.

Just visualize yourself with your favorite gogo dancer. If that doesn't turn you on then your life is over.

My gogo dancer days ended when they cut my prostate out of my body.

Marriage was supposed to be the back up option.

I never had kids either, but I did get married. I got second prize.

Fascinating thread.

I'm 63 but don't feel old.  I keep my weight under control, run, cycle and surfskate regularly, and I'm just setting up a new on-line business so keep my mind active.

But I'm a bit worried that I may wake up one day and feel 'old'.

If I couldn't do fun outdoor activities any more (or fun indoor activities!), I would not want to carry on.

Do we suddenly become old one day?

I'd love to try one of those surf skateboards.  Did you buy your here?

I lived with a woman that had 2 kids, and my life was hell. Then I wised up and left her. After I'd left my life got a whole lot better for not having to put up with the little <deleted>s any more. Never regretted leaving her.

Beards are great, and if other people don't like them, that's their problem.

There are certain people who look good with beards and certain people who don't. The get on the band wagon ones you can tell by looking at them in the USA just look awkward and out of place. I never was one to do fads.

I'm 73 now, been coming and going to Thailand since I was 30. I used to walk past bars and the gals would call out..."hello sexy man"..."hello hamsum man". Then one day, I'll never forget, it was at Ao Nang, Krabi, about 20 years ago, I walked past a bar and some gal called out, "hello papa". And it was like every bargal in Thailand had got together and unanimously agreed that I was no longer a sexy man and from that day forth I was to be known only as "papa" because that gal at Krabi had started something that continued on from that day.

Unfortunately, unless one lives in an enlightened country, one doesn't get the option of a painless get out of Dodge.

I ride a motorcycle in Thailand - so I think it will be automatically self limiting.

LOL. Men have only been able to shave for a few centuries, as they didn't have sharp blades before. Shaving is the fad.

After I got married everyone called me papa. A steep drop from being hansum.

They are great fun and good excercise too.  Low impact compared to running (unless you fall ????) and they help with balance and agility.  I can put on my trousers without falling over now ????.

Yes, bought it here, and then my wife wanted one, so now we skate together.

I started with a cheap Chinese one from a skateboard shop - it was OK to learn on, and I see Supersports now stocks them.

Then I ordered a Yow Malibu - nice and long which suits my height, and it's more stable if you hit a bump.

And surfskating has toned my wife's legs too!

Some of us disagree, and find the opposite to be boring, boring, boring.

It was the best advice anyone could have ever given me. The "new look" got me more action than I could handle. Of course the demographics helped. At that time there were 7 straight, available women, to every single, straight man in NYC. Like shooting koi in a pond.

I often wonder at what age people start feeling old, especially as I see some blokes who seem to act very old, or at least stop acting young and I wonder if they are acting old because they feel old.

All went downhill fast after I registered an account on here and started reading other peoples posts. I should have just stuck to the news.

For me, and I think for others too, there's the positive benefits of a good Thai wife.

From preparing great food, making sure I eat enough fresh fruit, figuring out how to register on the Mor Phom App, and encouraging me to exercise by joining me on bike rides and surfskate trips.

Plus, by doing housework wearing just a towel she helps keep my testosterone levels up.

(And how do Thai girls wear nothing but a towel without it falling off?)

I can't write what I'd really like to, but shaving is only good if done regularly. Nothing worse than that scratchy feeling.

Yes, getting old is reversible in many ways if you take some steps.   Accepting it as a steady decline is so often a mistake.

They train for that since they could walk. Also helps that they are slim enough that a normal towel wraps around more than on a large farang body.

I'm in my 80's still clubbing still got tons of friends. We often go out and beat the kids who are 60 years younger than we are at football.

After that off to the roof top bar, dressed stylist of course to pick up some Russian foxy babe for a roll. They offer to pay but that's not my style.

Carry on as long as you can you'll feel old one day, so I'm told.

I played football for about 40 years, and some of it in quite a high standard, as well as training twice a week and sometimes playing four games in eight days, along with floodlight matches and Sunday league stuff, so I think that kept me "young".

Luckily enough the football injuries I had have not bothered me too much in my old age (now 73), but I think I started feeling old in my early 60s, just after I had finished renovating a house I bought here, which included climbing up in the roof and quite a bit of manual work, so the next day the body would ache.

Just very recently I helped a Thai family with the electrical wiring in the restaurant they had just bought, and that included a lot of climbing up ladders, but the next day my legs ached, as did my back, so I know I'm older than I think I am!

I've accepted that I'm getting old, and that the occasional Cialis helps when my massage lady friends visit me, however want to live on for some years longer in order to see my daughter finish her university degree and start work as a teacher, also to be able to take her to New Zealand for a look around.

IMO that's just using muscles you don't normally use and happens at any age. It's just that you probably climbed ladders more when younger.

It was about 2 -4 weeks between me being able to cycle 20Km/day (2019) then finding it hard to do 4Km.

At 65 I still manage to walk 4-6Km every day, but I can no longer run the 15Km in the mountains I used to do twice a week before 'suddenly aging'.

I've actually outlasted nearly everyone I know, most of whom died suddenly before age 60.

I know people who want to live to be 120 in an aging body.  Why?

Not 120 but maybe into the 80's would be ok. Only reason for me is my kids, wife and my dogs. My kids are still pretty young so it would be too much of a hurt having ole daddy parting too soon. My being 80 would put them in their early to almost mid 40's which is semi ok. The wife is 10 years younger than me and I think she would get bored without the things I do for her to complain about. Also we sort of enjoy each other. Well, the dogs no need to mention.

For me was just when my baby girl graduated, turned 18 and now about to go to University. A segment of my family life hit the reality fan. Nearing 60 in a couple of years, but I still ride the skateboard in the driveway with the kids. Glad they are still my little big buddies.

I'll be 73 before my son hits university age.

Doubt I'll last that long.

For me I look terrible in a beard or with facial hair. My oldest brother really good and my middle brother not good.

That option exists now. It didn't when I had it done.

If I'd known then what I know now I'd have gone to LOS and shagged myself silly till I died of cancer, but that would have been about 10 years ago.
