The new styling is not bad - with one exception. The font is virtually unreadable. The black is not black enough with the light font weight. And the font size should be at least 1 point larger, maybe

if its not Thai Visa anymore can we still complain about everything that happens in Thailand?

or maybe we can we complain about all the ASEAN countries as well?

Definitely the colour is an improvement.  I hope to read never ending threads about visa confusion in many more countries now..

Hey NCC1701A, have you ever heard of Big Brother?  Well do not worry until you hear the knock on your door.

Nothing at all to worry about, 555.  Maybe the commentators, or what ever their new titles will be can enlighten us,

about the changes.  Have Faith!  Enterprise ..

Geezer

What happened to the forum ?

I can’t access it correctly anymore via my PC and get only a non working forum overview.

The new styling is not bad - with one exception. The font is virtually unreadable. The black is not black enough with the light font weight. And the font size should be at least 1 point larger, maybe 2 points. I can't read this forum for more than 5 minutes now without eye strain. When I set the font-size to 18px, the font-weight to 500, and the color to #282828, it is a much more comfortable presentation.

It would be one way to draw the attention away from criticism of Thailand and certain people, if the website doesnt have "Thai" on the top ????

Sold by the looks of things, under new management, makes sense, ASEAN (ASIA) is going to grow coming out of this quagmire.

It looks OK but the name and logo have a feel of a business conference site or an economic cooperation site. The old name may have been a bit specific so one can see why they did what they did.

People just can't stop mucking about with things can they? If it ain't broke stop trying to fix it..

This might even force me back to <URL Automatically Removed>!

I seriously doubt that moving Vietnam and Cambodia up a few headers in the forum and moving general topics and falang pub down the queue is going to make this forum any more Aseannow and any less Thaivisa.

Are they really expecting a huge influx of new members from other parts of Asia? I reckon it's still be the same old gang talking about the same old shizz week in and week out. Lol

There's a "Theme" drop-down right at the bottom of the page, trust me, the alternative is worse!

Can I ask if the forum has been sold to a new company based in Hong Kong?

Not that I'm aware of, but The Management are wont to do all sorts of "interesting" things without reference to (or even telling) the minions down here at the coal-face.

Thanks for replying. It would be nice to know where our data is being stored?

I lost track of where the servers are a while back, but apart from your email address and your posts there's not really much to store.

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

Now the the almost failure to renew the old domain makes sense.

Canada by the looks of it.

Thanks again for the reply. The reason I ask is because it is well known that private companies operating in China / Hong Kong have to comply with the CCP's requests for information.

So in theory if someone were to say for example have posted a negative comment regarding the Chinese government (which many users have) and they were to fly into China or Hong Kong they could well be arrested.

So I see it as quite an important and serious question.

Great move.... rename a successful product.

Somewhat like when they changed the Marathon chocolate bar to Snickers, the '90s

Dreadful, old chap....????????

But tessanet is a company registered in Hong Kong so they are required to comply with the Chinese government.

Which could put a huge amount of users here in legal trouble if they were to ever travel to China or Hong Kong.

We need some clarity.

So HK immigration need to be on the lookout for "misterjames" or "crossy"?

Seriously, AseanNow is an anonymous forum we don't know who you are, we could be compelled to release your IP address but there's really nothing else we hold.
