Popular Post webfact
Photo by Kenzo TRIBOUILLARD / AFP In a fresh bid to contain the continuing spread of COVID-19 in Thailand’s eastern coastal province of Chon Buri, the provincial communicable disease committee issued an announcement today (Friday) forbidding the sale and distribution of liquor from 8pm until 4am, effective from Saturday and until further notice. Gathering to drink alcohol, in a way which may contribute to the spread of COVID-19 or which may cause a nuisance to other people, is also banned during the same period. District chief officers of every district in Chon Buri, in their capacity as chiefs of the operations centres to control the disease, have been ordered to enforce the ban. Popular Post ronster
So despite all bars and restaurants around the country not been allowed to open or sell alcohol over the last months the covid numbers grew and grew !! But still they seem to think like covid is in the beer the way they are going on with their booze bans etc . I think if nothing changes in next 1-3 months business and job wise this government will be seeing daily revolt on the streets of Bkk . 20 1

Yeah because people still gather and get <deleted> up, Stopping the gathering and drinking will go a long way towards reducing the numbers, me personally I think they should go back to the testing regime Thailand initially had... test one in ten thousand people.... That will reduce the numbers to pre-3rd wave figures !! 4

They keep doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different outcome., not once have they closed the markets , actual source of spread on daily basis.. saying that, drive home last night at about 1 am. Thai area , many corner shops open serving food and alcohol, not a single cop Insight anywhere

While i am against the ban on sale of alcohol. Not opening night life and making sure that drinking people are not close together is good of course. You Sir have no clue what your talking about. The numbers are high without bars, they would be even higher with. In most civilized countries did they close bars the first in The Netherlands and even in the UK where closing a pup is equal to sacrilege. So why is it that the bar flies that emigrated to Thailand make such a fuzz as its the same as in their home country. Now of course all the most of the night life lovers live in Pattaya and put their selfish desires in front of the common good. Not so strange kinda like druggies needing a fix. 8 2 3

Popular Post apetryxx
Meanwhile down in Phuket, Prayut and the boys are quaffing wine at the dinner table welcoming the first tourists. The hypocrisy is so blatantly obvious it defies any logic. God forbid the wife and I should have a glass in our favorite neighborhood restaurant which incidentally is going out of business thanks to our lame PM! 14

2long
From 8pm - 4am.... but it's illegal to sell it outside (closed) bars after midnight anyway. So the ban is from 8pm until midnight. Just buy it early and start drinking earlier.
Popular Post shackleton
Makes no sense in stopping the sale of alcohol 2000hrs -0400hrs People will buy earlier and continue doing what they do social wise In the evening

Actually all shops must get closed at 23:00 so in effect it’s only 20;00-23:00 but it puts a full stop on any web begging or web selling
