Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-O’Cha today, July 5th, was sent to self-isolation quarantine after contacting the chairman of the Surin Chamber of Commerce who recently tested positive for Covid-19 while attending the “Phuket Sandbox” opening ceremony last Thursday, July 1st.

 

The Prime Minister was found in a selfie photo standing close to Chairman Veerasak Pisanuwong during his visit to the Phuket Sandbox reopening campaign in the southern island province.

 

Government spokesman Anucha Burapachaisri revealed that the Prime Minister, who has already been fully vaccinated, has now entered a quarantine, which will reportedly be in self-isolation at his home while monitored by health officials. He would continue to perform his duty and monitor the overall situation from his private quarantine areas.

More likely he's gone on holiday somewhere.

Many people still don't understand that being fully vaccinated doesn't mean you won't get infected again.

 

You can still get infected but the symptoms will be less serious as your body already encountered the virus before.

What has the chairman of trade for surin got to do with the Phuket sandbox, well he could have something, but again, it’s just beanos for the boys, I wonder if they took in a couple of gentleman’s clubs while they were down there?

Unlikely. Difficult to find a gentleman in Phuket. Or three wise men and a virgin for that matter.

So how did the Surin Chamber of Commerce chairman manage to breach the "Sandbox" Covid security testing and be allowed entrance to mix and mingle with the BKK elites during their Show-and-Tell Phuket Sandbox Extravaganza?
Is the public to assume that virtually all of the Hi-So's get a free pass into the Sandbox unlike everyone else.  My guess is probably "Yes" but I'm willing to suspend disbelief if shown videos of the Hi-So's submitting to testing on arrival.

It's amazing how efficiently people can regurgitate the vaccine marketing talking points.  Edward Bernays would be proud.

Why quarantine at home? Why not field hospital? Springs to mind. He should respect his own rules.

Surin is a beach area in Phuket.

sometimes we wish we had a little bit luck in these times,but probably not

US CDC guidelines. No reason. Excessive. He will be fine.

Wonder if the chappie from Surin beach was one of those pictured in the "mask-less coffee break" photo that upset folk on Thai social media ?

aaaahhh the sandbox, where children get to play adult games as though they understand the outside world. Its....cute. 

And Anutin just brushed it off like nothing, "it was just 30 minutes, no big deal", after a leaked photo of him and Chan-o-cha was seen around a crowded table without masks a day or two ago.
