OK. What is the best food delivery app in Thailand? Is Grab good? They all get dreadful reviews on Google play. This is a straightforward question to which I thought there would be loads of answers and opinions. BUT The lack of response leads me to conclusions including most current contributors on TV are not in Thailand. So this kind of question is a reality barometer

I think the lack of interest to your question is that most find them all very ordinary.  And apart from the app,  when your food arrives it looks like sh-it .....

Fair enough. Is that your experience? Perhaps I phrased it wrong. I have never used any food app and would like a list of the best ones to use, how they work, how fast they are, their cost, their name, where they operate. I am old school. I ring a restaurant and order direct usually. But when I asked at the caddy shack I was told I could not have paper menu to take away. No 2. Taxis find it difficult to find my place. Pre covid UBER were Grab were useless.

Indonesian but not on apps

https://m.facebook.com/Trindys-Indonesian-Foods-103811118376701/

There's a new Murtabek place on one of the apps. Forget which.

There are numerous northern Thai places among the apps

Ah thanks..Trindies is near Threpasit I think and likeu closed down but I check. FB I refuse to engage. Murtabaek...I'll check. So far I have only found one app that lists food in Alphabetical national order and it's astonishingly lacking ie in Italian food...But thanks for your advise. I still don't know if Lineseman is a separate app. I would prefer individual places to do their own delivery

I expect that Trindies is struggling but there is a fairly recent FB post from them, so that would indicate that they're still open.

I got Khao Soi for 45 baht at 3rd Floor terminal 21 in first Thsi food stall as you walk in.

Trindys is not near the hangman monument I believe it is on Thappraya opposite subway and 711. I will check it out but have no faith really..I'll try the beef radang and nasi goreng as starter.

2 TA reviews. Wrong number on website. FB reliant..could be depressing.

I am no expert on the apps....

But I have looked them over pretty good....And I think most of them suck...

The most easy one to use for me is this one... https://www.hotmeals2u.com/

If I had to choose a 2nd best it would be hungry now....

The rest I just find annoying in one way or another stuff like No Picture, or to small of picture or bad picture or no sizes or sauces or or or lots of other stuff....

Hotmeals2u.com is only for one restaurant!

It's actually quite good.

Well it deserves  more than 2 dodgy TA reviews, a wrong online number, an inaccurate location  description etc etc. Bad organization  is usually matched by bad food and bad service. Still ..I'll check it out just cos I have a yen for beef radang.

For groceries I like Tops (which sources from Central Food Hall).

https://www.tops.co.th/th/

Frequent promotions and you can add your One Card number to get points the same as in store shopping.

Occasionally there is something that is Tops online doesn't have or can find for a better price at Lazada. For example recently ordered a kilo of roasted pumpkin seeds from them.

Typically alternate between HungryNow (Menus in English/good promos) and Grab (Wide Selection but some Thai only menus/good promos) There are some apps that tap2translate your screen which can help a little.

Hotmeals2u is only 1 shop but the special hash browns in country gravy is a savory treat.

Food Panda used to be a staple before Grab and others showed up

Lineman

Haven't tried the yellow jacket drivers think it's flydeliverythai but will next time I'm craving some Chinese.

One thing all these have in common, pick foods that is likely to transport well. There are occasions where pizza arrives looking like its been sideways (although office delivery area drivers been great vs home area). Had good luck if you like NY style pizza with Bronx but like hotmeals2u order from their site/phone.
