Thai media Sanook caught up with a 20 year old Thai man called Pannathorn who had a message about unrequited love tattooed right across his forehead.

 

After a post on Tik Tok by his tattooist Joe in Khon Kaen there were more than one million views. 

 

The message said in Thai: "Jep phroh rak, sak phroh khaen".

 

This translates as "Hurt because of love, tattoo because of revenge".

 

Pannathorn said that he had been with his girlfriend for five months before they broke up.

 

His message didn't refer to just her, it was about the unrequited love he'd given to everyone over time. 

 

He stressed that it was in no way a message that he meant revenge or harm on his girlfriend. 

 

He said he had asked him mum and dad for permission and while they did not agree with it they said it was up to him. 

 

He said he was not hurting anyone and would work hard to open a shop and make a success of himself.

 

Joe said he was surprised by the one million plus views and that the young lad was a regular customer.

My ole man would have said get something else tattooed with only 4 letters and save money.

Put a tattoo on your forehead 

Great! In 20 years he will have an unreadable black bar across his forehead because ink wanders. He should’ve gotten it on a larger spot on his body in much larger letters.

Now he will become a Monk for 3 months...... he needs a haircut

You must mean his butt.  I would have love and revenge on a bit of my bod but  after love there would be no room for any more.. Ah but that could work in some places ..........................time for another gin .

You may be right, but I'd always been taught that:

"Some Thai men use ‘ฉัน’ when speaking to “very close female friends” , not to men nor older and younger women."

Not many tattoos are suitable to be on your forehead, except, Fool, Dumb, Tool, Idiot, maybe Stupid.

Something nice and short so that it does not hurt so much to remove.

On the the other hand, just maybe he should continue ask mum and dad how to deal with things. Seems like they have all the right answers.
