PHUKET: Almost 400 people attempting to enter Phuket by road yesterday (July 20) were refused entry for failing to satisfy the revised entry requirements that were announced on Sunday.

 

The new provincial order was issued by Phuket Governor Narong Woonciew on Sunday and came into effect yesterday. It extends to anyone wishing to come to Phuket from all 76 provinces on the mainland.

 

“Yesterday, 392 arrivals were refused entry to the island,” Phuket Provincial Police Commander Pornsak Nuannoo revealed during a live press conference broadcast this morning (July 21).

Only fully vaccinated people are granted access to Phuket .

But ' No vaccinations available ' for foreigners yet ...

Phuket became a ' no go ' zone .

If I understand correctly, come into Phuket and it’s restricted. Leave Phuket and you are fine. 
 

Makes perfect sense. I suppose it would actually make sense if Phuket were some kind of garden of eden.

Not true. It is a trial to see if international tourism can be slowly opened this way. Nothing to do with favouring international tourism, although at the moment domestic tourism seems like a bad idea.

Its a dump according to my friend and he comes from Liverpool.

By the looks of things if you leave Phuket you're very lucky. Flights cancelled and now busses as well.
