Sinopharm also uses two different vaccines like Sputnik.  Since Sinopharm and Sinovac use very similar methodology, it raises the question whether immunity provided by Sinovac's second shot which is exactly the same vaccine as the first is compromised.

According to here Wiki: Sinopharm Sinopharm is an inactivated SARS-2 virus similar to CoronaVac, aka Sinovac. It says they used a slightly different strain from Sinovac. Sinovac used the original Wuhan strain.  It says the company developed 2 different inactivated vaccines.

Good question though. There may be a hint here UN-training-inactivated-virus-vaccines suggesting IVVs produce weak immune responses and can sometimes require several doses.

mRNA vaccines are delivered inside little fat balls (nano lipid particles), which are ignored by the immune system.

Someone passed me a rumour about a more strict lockdown coming up soon. They have talked of possible stricter measures but it hard to think what more effective measures they could take, short of a Wuhan style ockdown where guards stop people going out of apartment buildings and every business is shut apart from essential ones.

No more alcohol sales.

Requiring new construction and factory workers to be Covid free.

stop all unnecessary interprovincial travel.

there's supposed to be a 10% share set aside of the Pfizer doses for foreign nationals, which the MoPH has said will be targeted for the age 60+ segment.

But thus far, absolutely NO public details of how/where/when those 10% doses are going to be allocated.  Perhaps some update on that later today during the first public COVID briefing since last Monday.

'Supposed to be' says who? Allocations for private hospitals came out this week for over 60s with pre existing conditions and vaccinations of AZ have started in Chonburi.

That’s for AZ, but you replied to a post about Pfizer.

Would be interesting to know how many of the new cases were unvaccinated folk.

I don't follow the USA much. I was under the impression that vaccine is readily  available.

Didn't the gov consider cash incentive payments to encourage people to vaccinate?

I haven't stumbled upon good info about the death rates for the unvaccinated.  There was a place in New Orleans the was offering some really good noodle soup and a free shot of booze at the bar next door.  It is so easy to get a shot here in the US but there are holdouts.  Like my sister and their kids. And they travel.  To each, his own I guess.

They haven't got the resources/will to do it..........unenforceable.

I traveled Chonburi to Buriram and back yesterday, not one single active checkpoint (even where there used to be checkpoints in normal times!)

Did you bother filling in the useless travel form.

On that form the field for travel has reason as "optional"

You don't even need to provide reason.

Ridiculous.
