Can anyone tell me which vaccines they plan to give expats on the new expatvac vaccine booking site and, if known, where in Hua Hin?

Thanks in advance.

I just received my 1st shot 2 days ago at Hua Hin Hospital.

First shot is SINOVAC. Second shot will be ASTRAZENECA and was also given the appointment date during the process itself.

I was quite impressed with the organization, and execution of the whole process, from entering the facility, to resgistering my attendance, administering the shot and the 30 minute waiting period. Although there were quite a lot of people there for the shot, social distancing was observed, and the attendants, nurces, etc all communicated well in English.

From arrival to finish,  it  took about 90 minutes including the 30 minutes resting to check if any immediate side effects.

Hats off to HH hospital for a good organization and service

I presume that you are over 60. Is that correct?

Pfizer would rock.

AZ will take—then wait for Moderna

Sinovac—wiil run away ASAP.

Good that you are so confident about it but maybe you should check "The Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) " data before getting carried away.

His reply will be interesting as up here falang (over 70) will get AZ both times. The FIL in the same age group is to get the Sinovac/AZ mix.

Registered 1 August, waiting.

June, booked Moderna and paid for October, that was plan A.

Plan B, is to hope for Pfizer and I will be content, however if it is AZ which I knocked back at the height of all of those deaths and blood clotting, I will now take my chances.

If I do receive any of the above in plan B, I will seek to push Moderna back into next year, possibly as a booster, or watch my money go down the drain, but not really worried about it, it's the vax we all want right.

Yes, have checked VAERS.  And while we’re checking things, can anyone say with certainty that SinoVac has any effect on Delta variant?  Not interested in test results for Alpha or Beta variants—they don’t matter anymore.

Queue jumping in front of the over 60s and those with chronic illnesses. ☹️☹️

it is open for everybody there it seems.  if anyone else wants to try applying they should.  the quicker everybody gets vaccinated, the better, right?

Leave that Sinovac for some other poor sod.

Not only that if you want to travel most countries won't except Sinovac as a vaccine for travel, Singapore being one.

Doesn't bother me WHO have said Sinovac is OK so if that's what I can get I'll take it or anything that's available.

The ignorants of people on AN like you about Sinovac is appalling.

"The COVID deaths of 131 health care workers in Indonesia, most of whom received Sinovac jabs, prompted medical professionals last month to question the efficacy of the vaccine."
