Serbian population is around 7 million.

 

Vaccinated with 2 doses 42.8%

 

One dose 40.9%

 

Total cases yesterday 7.273

 

Died 26

 

Compare with Thailand numbers.

The problem with your claim is that it takes no account of excess mortality. Serbia has one of the highest excess mortality rates in the world. It comes in at 5th place,  with 445 per 100,000 people. right behind Russia. Whereas Thailand has 44 excess deaths per 100,000 people.

Sad you only show the misleading title. Inside it says more would die if not vaccinated. And one reason for the higher death rates is because a vast majority are vaccinated!

If the vaccines have no effect the deaths will be distributed in alignment with the vaccine status of the general population, let’s give it a try:

 

Fully vaccinated 

 

69.4% of 236 deaths = 164 deaths (20 deaths more than actual).

 

Single Vaccine 

 

76%-69.4% of 236 = 6.6% of 236 deaths = 16 deaths (4 more than actual)

 

Unvaccinated

 

26% of 236 deaths = 61 deaths ( 19 fewer than actual).

 

The vaccines have demonstrably saved many lives, a fact the Scottish Mail has tried to obscure.

Nothing personal, but I thought you might a been a fan of CNN  ????  Them and Fox are the absolute worst. 

I like Aljazeera sometimes, but if I had to choose only one MSM source I think it would have to be RT.  

Either way, truthful nonbiased journalism is not easy to identify anymore.

That's not the point, even though I agree with you, this "pandemic" is not a killer.

 

The point is : Asia works, thinks and reacts about cases.

 

The vaccines do not change a thing to the number of "cases". The virus does not care about "vaccines" and "social distancing" and "masks" (proof : Israel, Singapore and others).

 

Ergo : the madness will continue.

 

Demonstration : "Government [from Singapore] pauses reopening plans after 837 new daily infections, despite just four deaths in a month among 80% vaccinated population"

 

The same knee jerk reaction is likely to happen in Thailand (and in most of Asian and Pacific countries), unfortunately.
