Wbmail provider terminates service

Featured Replies

Having been with Loxinfo Co and having a webmail ending in :loxinfo.co.th they have decided to stop this service. So I am losing my email address with them that I have been using for business for 20 years.

Now I am a bit of an unknown area as all my customers, etc have this email address.

1. Is it possible to transfer my email address: [email protected] to another provider?

2. If not, do I have to set up a new - as yet unknown - email address?

3. Any recommendations for a provider similar to Loxinfo?

Thank you!

1.  No.  Why would any email provider allow you to have an email address that wasn't theirs?

2.  Yes

3.  Is there anything special about Loxinfo email accounts that every other email provider couldn't cope with?

The great thing about email is that you can email your customers and advise them of your new email address.

Main issue being the hassle of having to change, but hey, this is life:)

As well as having a "th" address which looks more professional and business like than for example hotmail or gmail a and they monitor/delete spam; and inform you accordingly.

Same for me, over 20 years with Loxinfo, .co.th is my first and second account and a third one with csloxino.com

Just contacted Loxinfo, they will be stopping all email services by the end of the year.
Any suggestions to a decent email rovider that is not too expensive.    Not the likes of hotmail or goggle ?

There is nothing unprofessional in using a gmail address. You are reading to much in to it.

BTW Thailand is not into emails much, they use Facebook more.

I suggest think about an email address which you want and pay for it. If you own the domain (the part behind the @) then nobody can take it away from you.

You could pay i.e. for Microsoft Office 365 including your own email account. That is a professional solution.

You could also use an address like [email protected] or [email protected] or something like that. I guess they will continue to exist for the future but if it is a free service then you can't exactly complain if they don't exist anymore or are not free anymore.

After you selected and registered a new email address contact all your contacts. Best do with with a mail to everybody with everybody in bcc (blind carbon copy). That protects the privacy of all your contacts.

Make sure you do this long enough before you are forced to stop your current email address.

Yes, it will be a little hassle to do all this but it can be over in a few days or a week or two and then you don't have anything to worry about anymore.

That depends. If you use that email address only for personal email then that is fine. But if you work in any way then I think your own domain is a lot better.

I find it often strange when I see a business website, i.e. from a restaurant like mypub.com and then you see an email address like [email protected]. That is IMHO unprofessional.

It is definitely not ‘professional and business like’ to have a loxinfo / gmail / outlook address – a real business would have their own web/address
