webfact
File photo: Reuters Thailand on Friday (August 13) reported 23,418 new COVID-19 cases and 184 additional deaths over the past 24 hours. ● 23,030 new infections ● 388 prison / prison infections ● 20,083 recoveries Friday’s cases bring the total number of COVID-19 infections in Thailand to 863,189 with 7,126 deaths. (Total infections since April 1: 834,326) The news comes as more Covid-19 infections and fatalities from the Delta mutant will be increased in Thailand if there is no proper vaccine allocation in the next 100 days, a Pulmonary disease specialist of Vichaiyut Hospital stated online yesterday, August 12th. Dr. Manoon Leechawengwongs of Vichaiyut Hospital predicted the Covid-19 situation in Thailand via his online statement that the number of domestic infections and deaths from the Covid-19’s Delta mutant will continue to increase regardless of how intense the lockdown measures are. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2021-08-13 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow ASEAN NOW on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates

HaoleBoy
Where are the donated Pfizer vaccines? It shouldn't take a week to get out to all the frontline workers. We can't even get an accountability of the 1.5 million doses of Pfizer from this Gov. This isn't enough to stop this trend, but it is a start!

Popular Post Blumpie
23 thousand new infections every day is absolutely brutal. I know everyone is getting used to these numbers but this is astronomical. People are certainly dying without any medical care. 13

Popular Post Scrotobike
Here are the Sisaket numbers as reported yesterday. Yesterday 623 covid infections were reported which is a massive 633% increase in the previous day's total - put Sisaket at number 4 or 5. No chance of Sisaket moving to deep dark scary red as this would mean the general paying ISSAN people something. Popular Post ThailandRyan
And today in another OP running currently a Senior Advisor to the MOPH and Anutin has come out stating that the Covid infections numbers are more than likely higher than being reported. Yes folks the numbers we see here are not the totals, oh who would have believed that one, yes sarcasm in my tone. Today as we took our Friday morning walk, and took care of the folks we do, I noticed a long que of people by the Silom MRT station next to Lumpini Park. There were attendants dressed in the PPE clothes handing out paperwork, and so it appears they were doing more pop up testing. Probably had a few hundred lined up. The numbers are increasing daily and nowhere near the downtrend stated for here in Bangkok as you can see with 5,161 cases, and nowhere near the crest of this wave. My view is that it will be awhile longer before we start to see daylight and the numbers come down. Waiting to see how the outer provinces are doing with todays numbers as well. Stay safe folks and hopefully everyone can get vaccinated sooner rather than later. Waiting on the GF's PCR test results from Wednesday to ensure she can see her doctor on Sunday, and today is the day the daughter will be retested and given a chest x'ray to see if she has truly recovered and then can come home to us. These are very trying times as we all can see. On a positive note it is a beautiful day today here in BKK. Take care and enjoy what you can. 9

That is a known fact, the question is whether Thailand is hiding identified cases. Every country out there you are going to have mostly identified cases in the totals... and there will be another group of significant cases that are not identified because they are asymptomatic... this is where most community cases that they cannot trace the origins come from... (so called unlinked I believe). They can estimate how much of the population based on statistical sampling and serology testing, but they are not part of the official numbers.

Forever the optimist you are, numbers are underreported and unfortunately so are deaths. Many have been dying at home here as well. You see it differently then those of us who are living amongst the issues obviously. I see the suffering daily here in BKK as well as see and hear from folks we know, as well as the news regarding folks passing. The home isolation may be good for some, but unfortunately it is a long road to recovery as we are finding out with my GF's daughter and all of the GF's relatives who are still suffering from one aspect of covid or another after being released from the hospitals and surviving being on ventilators. To say we are uninformed is about right for someone who thinks that facts are just sooooo boring.

These approved records would have to be transferred to the MoPH, then MoPH would then identify the location against what vaccines are available to that area, book your appointment tentitively... then these would be handed over to IT that would be responsible for sending out the email/SMS and have ready some way to confirm the appointment online and once it is confirmed then those that are confirmed would be passed back to the people responsible for these appointments.
