What is my best option
Suggest he will require a proof of address. Seems Thai wife has been living in UK. He could obtain a COR which would be useful. He has not where he would be living which would be useful info. Would also indicate which immigration office. -

USA Trump's Fitness Test Revival: Push-Ups and Pull-Ups Are Back
File photo for reference only President Trump is set to bring back the famed Presidential Fitness Test, aiming to tackle the nation’s health woes. He’ll sign an executive order reinstating the test, a staple in schools from 1956 to 2013. This bold move seeks to address spiralling obesity and inactivity. Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will oversee the initiative. Known for his efforts against childhood obesity, Secretary Kennedy believes that enhancing fitness in schools is crucial. His report, “Make America Healthy Again,” highlighted sedentary lifestyles as a key concern. Trump’s vision targets a healthier future for young Americans, focusing on building “a culture of strength and excellence.” The original test, founded in the 1950s, challenged students with exercises like push-ups, pull-ups, and sit-ups. Those who excelled received the coveted Presidential Physical Fitness Award. Altered in 2013 under President Obama, the test shifted focus to individual health rather than pure athletic ability. Now, Trump’s plan is to reinstate a competitive edge by introducing a new Presidential Fitness Award aimed at inspiring youthful dynamism. The developments will be managed by the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition. Leading this initiative is golfer Bryson DeChambeau, who will join Trump for the signing alongside sports stars such as Harrison Butker and Lawrence Taylor. TThis initiative marks a significant step towards reversing unhealthy trends among American youth. By focusing on physical fitness, Trump hopes to spark a nationwide movement towards better health and active lifestyles. Adapted by ASEAN Now from NBC News 2025-08-01 -

USA US Slaps Visa Ban on Palestinian Officials in Sanctions Blitz
US Department of State. File photo. The United States has announced plans to deny visas to officials from both the Palestinian Authority (PA) and the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO). This move comes as part of a wider sanctions package targeting these groups, perceived as a reaction to recent international support for Palestinian statehood. The announcement follows a United Nations conference led by France and Saudi Arabia, which aimed to bolster support for a future two-state solution. The US has criticised this conference and warned of diplomatic consequences for any anti-Israel statements. France, the UK, and Canada have voiced their intentions to recognise an independent Palestinian state, albeit with certain conditions. The US State Department accused the PA and PLO of leveraging international platforms like the International Criminal Court (ICC) against Israel. It also alleged continued support for terrorism, citing incitement in educational materials and financial support for families of individuals deemed terrorists by Israel. Earlier, the Trump administration removed sanctions from Israeli settlers involved in violence against Palestinians. Palestinian leaders view the new sanctions as retaliation for the growing international recognition of Palestinian statehood. Mustafa Barghouti, of the Palestinian National Initiative, criticised the US for punishing Palestinians rather than addressing Israeli actions in Gaza and the West Bank. Israel has welcomed the US sanctions, commending President Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio for countering what it sees as a distorted narrative that favours Palestinian state recognition without addressing terrorism. Israel argues that European countries are ignoring ongoing Palestinian support for violence. The PA disputes allegations regarding payments to prisoners, describing them as necessary support for families affected by Israel's military occupation. The PA claims these payments align with international human rights norms. It was suggested that they might reconsider these stipends in light of France's stance on Palestinian recognition. The travel ban poses logistical challenges for PLO and PA officials requiring US entry, a process already marred by bureaucratic hurdles. The extent of the sanctions' impact, particularly on Palestinian representatives at the United Nations, remains uncertain. This development reflects ongoing tensions and highlights the erosion of US leadership in fostering peace between Israel and Palestine. Many attendees of the UN conference underscored dissatisfaction with Washington's approach, revealing broader geopolitical shifts in perspectives on the conflict. Science Born from the Past: Baby Arrives from 30-Year-Old Frozen Embryo, Sets World Record
File photo for reference only. Courtesy of Wikipedia A newborn boy from Ohio has rewritten history, arriving from a 30-year-old frozen embryo, setting a new global benchmark. LIndsey and Tim Pierce have welcomed Thaddeus Daniel Pierce, drawing public awe with the statement from Lindsey: "It's like something from a sci-fi movie." This miraculous birth marks the longest period an embryo has been frozen before resulting in a live birth. The prior record was held by twins born last year from embryos frozen since 1992. The Pierces, after trying for seven years to have a child, turned to embryo adoption, choosing one created by Linda Archerd in 1994 through IVF. Linda Archerd, 62, originally created four embryos with her then-husband, with one becoming her now-adult daughter. The other three were stored, and despite a separation, Archerd decided against discarding them or donating them anonymously. She sought a connection, leading her to a Christian adoption agency, Nightlight Christian Adoptions, which connects donors directly with prospective parents. Nightlight’s Snowflakes programme permits donors to choose recipient couples based on specific preferences, including religion and nationality. Archerd preferred a Caucasian, Christian couple within the US, leading her to the Pierces. Her intention was always personal, ensuring a link between her biological background and the child. The birth occurred at Rejoice Fertility in Tennessee, an institution dedicated to transferring embryos without regard to age. While not aiming for fame, the Pierces’ quest was simple – they longed for a child. Archerd expressed a touching connection through photographs, remarking that Thaddeus already resembles her daughter, reported the BBC. This unprecedented birth at Rejoice Fertility underscores the evolving landscape of embryology, offering new hope and extending familial lines in groundbreaking ways. Both families have embraced this unique journey, illustrating the possibilities of modern medicine and personal choice. A tab for history, a trail for future possibilities – Thaddeus's arrival is a testament to the intersection of science and human resilience, leaving a remarkable mark for prospective parents and the scientific community globally.
