The recommended time between the 2 jabs for AstraZeneca is 8 to 12 weeks. This is more than the 4 weeks for the mRNA vaccines. The antibody response is higher when waiting 12 weeks instead of 8 weeks, but you have less protection between the shots. So what you want?

I got my first AZ in July and have the wait until October, too.

But anyway, I won’t change my habits for the next 6 months.

And meanwhile, many that have had Pfizer in Pattaya have to only wait 3 weeks for the second dose.

My missus included

Gotta get those fully Inoculated numbers up to get off the Red List and prevent being placed on more.

Limited clinical trials have proven that Sinovac is not very effective against the Delta variant of Covid. So why is he still buying it? Also l believe it is one of the most expensive vaccines on the market being 2-3 times more expensive than other similar worldwide made products. Again l ask, why is he still buying it.???? Also it has been in the news that people who got two Sinovac shots will now need a third one. Why?????? Total incompetence.

Because certain medical conditions react badly to all of the vaccines, save for Sinovac. Whist not ideal its the best for those people.

From the OP,

"We are not short of vaccine", he proclaimed. "We will have 140 million doses by the end of the year which divided by two is 70 million people. That's going to be enough to inoculate 90% of the population."

He should know better than spouting such claptrap knowing full well that Sinovac will be requiring a third booster shot for each recipient.

The Health Minister does not know his job.  Explain to me why we must wait 12 weeks to get our second shot of AstraZeneca instead of 4 to 8 weeks.  The longer we wait the better the chance we die from the virus.  He does not care.  Get rid of him.

My original date for 2nd shot was 16 weeks; now reduced to 12 weeks !

Yes he is dirty to the bone.  Anyways we are  all going to get corvid one way or another. So get vaccinated so you don't end up in ICU. Check the new news from the Oxford Prof. Vaccine Team.

PT deliberately did a feeble job in the accusation of graft in the vaccine procurement which everybody knows was the case. Their only point seemed to be that the purchases were B2 billion less than the budget which the government said was padded in case of price hikes, forex changes or increased shipping costs.  There was no hard or even soft evidence - pathetic.  If they were worried about the budget for vaccines why did their MPs support the government and vote for Prayut to get a B16 billion special budget to use at his personal discretion without parliamentary scrutiny?  It is all BS with Thaksin, PT and the red shirts actually cosying up to the government for personal gains while pretending to do their job as the opposition for show.

He pressed on about the cost of Sinovac saying that criticism that it was expensive was unfounded. He said only the first lot was $17 a dose.

He propduced a graphic showing that the price dropped and dropped until it was only $8.90.

Why that difference and bow did you let it happen,,,! That's enough to show incompetance in sourcing the vaccine..
