So, the one guy may be immune to Covid, but what about the other 17 guests?

Stop bringing logic into this, it has no place in the usual Thai arguments and excuses.

This is from the linked story;

"however, more than one person gathered around alcohol or a party is still against the law."  Where  did this law come from.  So me and the wife or Gf etc cannot sit at home and have a drink together!

In Chonburi, no.

Indeed, up until 01/09 it was a Max of 5 people gathering with a limitation of 1  / 5 drinking alcohol. Sounds weird??????

For decades, stodgy condo and villa owners have wanted to call the cops on their neighbors for making too much noise, and having too much sex fun.  Now they can.

Covid.  The gift that keeps on giving...

thats for sure is a good thing

Basically, even if only 1 person is drinking, the police could take the entire 5 to the monkey house because all 5 were in a room with alcohol.

The number allowed indeed has increased to 25. This means that the police busted a legal gathering, except for the drinking part.

Not talking about the level of trust. Just mentioning that Switzerland is known as a Country where denunciation is widely spread and appreciated by authorities. I'm not judging good or bad.....

Police raided a birthday party late last night, August 31st, arresting a total of eighteen suspects. The man celebrating his birthday claimed he was “immune” from Covid-19 as he had previously had the disease, stating he should be able to celebrate his birthday due to this “fact.

Did he think his 17 guests were also immune?

They get 15 minutes each to wear his amulet.
