Popular Post webfact
By Cod Satrusayang The floundering popularity of Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha and the ruling Palang Pracharat Party could see an uptick as the number of vaccination increases and the country inches closer to reopening, an analyst said Friday. The coalition government, led by Prayut and the PPRP Party, has been met with increasing criticism from the opposition and from members of the public due to their disastrous Covid-19 response. Nearly 1.4 million people have been infected and over 13,500 people have died. The last two weeks have also brought internal rifts to light with an attempted putsch by Party Secretary-General Thammanat Prompao shot down at the last second and resulted in his removal from his ministerial position. Popular Post tingtong
Rather optimistic. With covid regulations relaxed, more likely that the daily protests resume. Nothing has changed. Prayuth is on borrowed time.
Popular Post Kadilo
It’s quite possible. Johnson got a lift with a successful vaccine program. People have short memories. 1
Popular Post smedly
"The end of covid in sight" and the so called "reopening" are two entirely different things They already know that fully vaccinated tourists are no threat to Thailand the question remains how to maximise the revneue from any that do come - oh wait ................................they already figured that out and it isn't working lol
Popular Post Thaiwrath
Quite possibly the opposite. The protests were not solely against the incompetence of the government with it's pathetic Covid strategy, but more about it's shambolic 7 years in power. The youth have realised that the government's main aim was always to appease the elite and affluent members of Thai society, and they don't really care about the rest. and will now increase their protests against the brutal police force and military factions. 9

Popular Post zzaa09
Huh? What end in sight? COVID era gonna be with the world for quite some time to come. There does seem to be slight shift in mindsets and whatnot these days - instead of fighting it, accept it and get on with our lives. This acceptance and living with it is beginning to be promoted by respected scientists, thinkers and the like. Surely, not the most popular notion. Hence, why we don't hear/read too much of such "mad talk".
Popular Post ThailandRyan
These types of reports must be written by the Prayut folks themselves in order to make themselves feel good. What a shambolic group the are. So disingenuous. 6

Scrotobike
Crappy news ... "an analyst said Friday" Who? So the news report is worthless (as seems the norm) Try this an analyst said on Friday that the moon was made of Thai made cheese. Some analyst? Popular Post TooMuchTime
Time for 100% reopening of the country within the next 3 months. Cases going down as expected from anyone who has seen the trends of 7-day average graphs. Back to normal for Thailand and a flourishing economy awaits. Senior Arm Chair Fear Mongers will need to find a new job. 1 1
Popular Post Henryford
I think Covid is far from over. Look at the UK, nearly fully vaxxed and they have 40,000 cases a day. Winter is coming up and there will be outbreaks in most countries, maybe other variants.

mtls2005
Article seems a bit optimistic. Much toothpaste has been expelled, and no amount of thai science will get it back in. Without concrete reforms - and the powers that be will never yield on any reforms - the problems will persist.

Today, the TOTAL number of new cases is 17,725 (If you believe the published numbers.) The previous day was 16,348 new cases. The government does not include positive ATK test numbers. If the numbers for ATK tests are no good, then why do the test? Why buy another 8 million plus kits? They are as accurate as anything else that this government does. Better look again numbers are trending upwards again and those thought infected in BKK could be over half of the untested and unvaccinated population. But hey believe what you want.

Just in the moment bickering with no thought to the future or learning from the past. 1

They tend to bring down the virus. Edited September 11, 2021 by Bkk Brian
