8 days from "order received" to "shipped out" why?

Order placed on addids.co.th on Sep 16 shipped today, the 24th from Bangkok (to Pattaya). I guess I'll receive Saturday or Monday.

 

Can someone who understands retail in Thailand explain why it takes 8 days to ship a shoe order? I'm asking in a "want to understand the complexity and/or differences" sense, not "I want to complain secretly."

Depends on volume of orders to handle, how they are processed and where they are sourced from.

many businesses in Thailand are bad at inventory/stock management.

20 stores to buy the same item from with slightly different prices, but only 1 supplier in the background... many shops i.e. in Lazada are just sales mailboxes with no real shop. Once you order from them, they order from their supplier and when the item arrives at their mailbox, they then repack and send to you, hence the delay.

   At the top of Adidas online page it says "it may take longer than 7-12 days to prepare order for delivery", per Google translate. 

   Shoes are one of the items that I never buy online. I only buy shoes after trying them on, to ensure proper fit and comfort.

    I also suggest you read the websites return policy "before" opening the box or your

 next post might be: Adidas won't refund my money for shoes that don't fit me.

Are you sure they came from Bangkok and not Singapore?

Items shipped from China, store only announces 'shipped' when the item is in Thailand.

Lots of stockless shops selling stuff straight from the manufacturer.
