Oddly enough in the UK all cause death rate actually fell in those vaccinated with AZ.

 

Perhaps it was a statistical blip. But if true, it is possible that the vaccine has a wider general protective effect.

 

It's awful when one or two people per million who seem perfectly healthy drop dead, and it's no good denying that it happens, but things have to be kept in perspective.

Considering thailand is accepting AZ donations from Japan, Bhutan and even Singapore (122,400 doses just this week), I'm not sure there's much "local" AZ in the system? The local manufacturer is supposed to be delivering 3 mm, or 6 mm, or fill in the blank mm doses per month, and 36 mm by the end of the year (Oct, Nov and Dec). But that manufacturer's production output is strangely never mentioned these days.

 

I think the current practice, and this changes hourly, is on shot of sinova or sinopharm, followed with a vaccine to be named later.

 

Maybe gift the GF a Moderna package?

Yes, from any vaccine for any disease.  Symptoms generally are mild and last only a few days if you do have a reaction - muscle ache at the injection site, low fever, sometimes aching joints.  More severe reactions are extremely rare.  The death rate in the USA following vaccination (all types) is actually lower than normal, perhaps because most people have to see their doctor before receiving a vaccination.

As for your girlfriend, she is much more likely to be killed ridding her motorcycle to or from the vaccination site than from the vaccination itself, but you will never ever be able to convince her that ridding a motorcycle is in anyway dangerous.

 

By the way, I had COVID-19.  I was one of the very lucky ones whose symptoms did not include pulmonary ones, just 5 days of a very high fever, no energy, no stamina, and no appetite.  I was able to stay home with the high fever until my body managed to overcome the infection. A fever is part of the bodies defenses against an infection so I only took two paracetamol tablets when my temperature exceeded 37.9 °C (100.3 °F), about once a day.  It took another 3 days of lower spiky fevers before I felt more normal but it took another week for my energy, stamina, and appetite to fully return.  I only lost about a kilo since I forced myself to cook simple foods and eat them, and I have regained that.

 

Believe me when I say, "YOU DO NOT WANT TO CATCH COVID-19!".  If you aren't vaccinated do it as soon as possible, and the same goes for anyone you care about.

 

Franky, in my opinion, if you are one of the COVID-19 deniers and don't get vaccinated when you have a chance then you deserve what you get and should have to pay every Bt/dollar/pound/etc. of the cost for treatment out of your own pocket with no money at all from insurance or the government.

Meanwhile during the same period I could mention a few road deaths and those dying of “natural causes”

Why did governments lockdown their countries if not to protect their populations?

The vast majority is locally made, and is in millions per month.

 

AZ is a top vaccine.

 

As yet Moderna isn't even in the country. and there's nothing so special about it anyway.

It is possible yes, the chances are low but it can happen.

Fit people can have an adverse reaction and those with underlying symptoms can be vulnerable.

But the stats on it happening as apposed to those with no reaction is in the .000%

This is pretty much what is happening in my village now.

I live in Phetchabun Province and I have had two jabs of AstraZeneca. I've heard of NO ONE dying from vaccines, AstraZeneca or Sincovac. I've only heard of a few feeling a little ill for a day or two afterword.

My wife has already had her 2 AZ shots with no problems.  Just some minor pain.

 

The chances of something happening to you from a vaccine are much lower than actually getting the virus.  For instance 20% of the people who have had covid got blood clots compared to .01% from the vaccine.

Both Pfizer and AZ are now widely administered to Thais. Some of my Thai friends and acquaintances who initially had Sinovac have had AZ as their 2nd.

Yes I think that different provinces and even different parts of provincial areas do whatever I only stated what I know of New Sukhothai.

What a load of B******S I’ve had my AZ 2nd one this Friday Thais will believe anything they are told I would be amazed if anyone has died after having the AZ now if it was the Chinese vaccine that could be a different story anyway if you have been jabbed what is there to worry about you can still get Covid but hopefully it would be very mild due to your vaccines however nothing is guaranteed in life except death that none of us can avoid .
