I hope to too.  This afternoon 'er indoors has arranged for my sinovac jab. I would rather not bother but when she starts sulking the cats even go on holiday.

' Time to leave my son '.

"The lowering numbers was in-part due to the inoculation efforts of the government and the use of a Sinovac + AstraZeneca cocktail, according to an official at the Ministry of Public Health..."

Can we see the research results please. How do these numbers compare to the Control Group who did not get anything, or the group who got a placebo? I sure hope you aren't pulling these numbers out of your ***.

“If we sat around and waited for ‘better’ vaccines then we wont reopen until the middle of next year...”

Ah. The real reason for the rush. I wonder if the scientific community (sic) in Thailand ever heard of the old phrase "Better safe than sorry". Or, is it only about the money?

The Government has millions of Sinovac that no one wants. I would rather have nothing.

Thais will have to make peace with the use of the Sinovac vaccine if they want the country to return to normal, a public health official told Thai Enquirer on Tuesday.

It doesn't hold up against the most prevalent Delta strain... but be thankful you're getting something.

Why do Thais have to make peace with Sinovac at the grossly inflated price of B1,700, which is probably only marginally effective, when better alternatives with credible stage 3 trials peer reviewed in reputable journal can be obtained for a fraction of the price?

That expensive? How about split one intramuscular dose into 5 subcutaneous doses?

Yes indeed and for reference:-

BANGKOK, Aug 17 (Reuters) - Thailand will purchase an additional 12 million doses of Sinovac's (SVA.O) coronavirus vaccine to try to expedite its rollout..................... despite concerns over its efficacy against the Delta variant of COVID-19.
