Why so many chinese cars MG cars ? do people only care to buy something cheap, whatever is the quality ?

I don't think anyone buying these are really concerned about fuel economy;

MG ZS @ ฿7-800k & 11 kpl

MG HS @ ฿939k-1.159m & 11 kpl

Dmax @ ฿852k-1.157m & 9-15 kpl

 

If going the thrifty CC route, then hard to beat that Suzuki Celerio @ ฿330 & 20 kpl

Though surely sacrificing overall performance & comfort, especially on the highway

My involvement in this thread is the usage of the MG brand name for a cheap Chinese car, that's it....

If just putt puttin' around town, pretty hard to beat.  I sat in one, and was sort of impressed, considering the price point.  Add another ฿80k for automatic @ 408k

Our MG ZS sells for ฿420k in China vs Thai's ฿700k price tag.

Same with the SAIC Wuling mini EV @ ฿180k China vs ฿400k Thai price

Along with POCCO @ ฿200k there vs ฿500k here ????????

Those figures look wrong. A quick Google shows Dmax available from 515k. Diesel a much cheaper option these days.

I thought you were referring to 4 door, 3L diesel vs 4 door MG HS, and you're correct, the 4 dr 3L Dmax starts round ฿1.05 Million, as you did state 3L diesel. 

 

Didn't realize it was only a 2 door.  A bit cramped cab for over the road.

That's why I deleted it the first time, as a poor comparison.
