90 days report moronic rejection reason

I see no difference between doing report online or by mail if some official confuses my long-registered home address with a hotel address where I stayed for couple nights. There's more chance my report will be overdue if I submit by mail and receive a rejection a week later.

Your immigration office might consult their paper records, speak with your wife. Maybe they can revoke the erroneous record on the TM30 system.

My last 90-day report success was Feb 2020...

From May 2020 to date it hasn't worked using the exact same information.

Yeh, it's become a bit of a hit and miss, I try when it's due, if it works, great, if not then I plan the half day out, no stress, gets me off of my rear and out for a country drive.

I refuse to be stressed by the many things that the country can improve on, see I figure I have a decade, 2 at best left in this life form, so might as well learnt to let things that I have no control of go as opposed to hanging onto them, with only me getting all worked up.

It's taken me 6 decades so far to start learning, is it too late, so far so good, but give me 5 minutes ????

Predictive text often substitutes manual entries incorrectly. Sometimes I have to go back several times to turn it off

Exact same happened to me, sitting at immigration for a renewal and the officer notices I am registered as residing in a hotel we stayed months earlier. Since we were there he was able to fix it at the spot. I am just lucky immigration is relatively close by and I just use the drive-through every 90 days.

I think you have to visit your Immigration office and do your 90-day there.

Understamd, but what is the point of Immigration have an app for 90 Day Reporting.  Thailand the hub of IT?

Interesting, my 90 day online reports are approved in 1 second usually so I'd say no manual intervention unless it doesn't work for some reason

Your office may have setup an automatic system. Many others have not, in udon the officer who registered my last report is.

That is a rational way of looking at it. However, a different official will review your report if done by mail than the one checking it when done online. There is a good chance the different official will have a few more brain cells than the one you were forced to deal with.

In future, if you have a driving license, see if you can check into a hotel using that rather than risking the hotel inducing immigration to mess up their records.

Did not know about the driving license trick, as they always ask for my passport. Will try this on my next trip, thanks for the tip!

Come on, I had no 90 day problems in 5 years, other than online system being down. It's a piece of cake. Visa extension not necessarily!

Please CHECK in advance. Some hotels demand passport, nothing less.

I was being facetious.

Agree, piece of cake.

Can I ask why no extension necessary, Elite visa ?

Get your wife to check in at the hotel.

Question: what do a passport, thai driving licence and thai ID card have in common ?

Answer: they are all acceptable in thailand as “Govt Photo ID” so can all be used as such at Hotels, Banks, Hospitals and Govt. / Private Offices.

The same story just repeated. Apparently despite the announcement that TM30 requirement was dropped, some (or all?) hotels still consistently update TM30 database messing up my residential address in the immigration database, so I have either to re-register myself at MY HOME upon return or fill 90 report with a hotel address where I stayed ovenight (which is even more fun in case immigration would want to look for me there).

bet it'll depend on office, some will have enabled auto approval others won't have resulting in manual intervention
