Pickup Truck Crashes into Vehicles at Red Light, Injuring 12
Picture from responders. A multi-vehicle collision at a red-light junction in Chonburi left 12 people injured, including a critically injured 3-year-old child. The incident occurred at 14:30 on 12 January 2025 at the Kiri traffic lights on Sukhumvit Road, in the Samet subdistrict of Mueang Chonburi district. Police and rescue services from the Tri Khunatham Foundation arrived on the scene to find four severely damaged vehicles and multiple injured passengers. Vehicles Involved: 1. Black MG Saloon (Bangkok Registration): The front and rear of the vehicle were damaged. It carried five passengers, including two men, one woman, and two children (one boy and one girl), all of whom sustained injuries. 2. White Mitsubishi Triton Pickup Truck (Chonburi Registration): Both the front and rear of the truck were crushed. Four people, including one man, one woman, and two children (a boy and a girl), were injured. 3. White Mazda Saloon (Bangkok Registration): The vehicle carried five passengers, two men, one woman, and two boys, all of whom were injured. 4. Green Isuzu D-Max Pickup Truck (Bangkok Registration): The front of the vehicle was completely wrecked. The driver, who was travelling alone, sustained a head injury. Rescue workers provided first aid at the scene before transferring all injured individuals to Chonburi Hospital. Ms Bee, the driver of one of the saloon cars, said her vehicle was stationary at the red light as she prepared to take her family to Bang Saen Beach when she suddenly heard a loud crash. Moments later, her car was hit, leaving it badly damaged and her family injured. Mr Wisanuwat the driver of the green Isuzu pickup truck, admitted that he was on his way home from work in Nong Mon, Saensuk subdistrict, when the collision occurred. He stated that he tried to brake and they failed, so he was unable to stop in time, causing his vehicle to crash into the stationary cars. Police are reviewing CCTV footage from the area and plan to conduct further interviews with all drivers involved to determine the cause of and take appropriate legal action. Reports indicate that a 3-year-old child sustained critical injuries in the crash. Authorities have not confirmed whether the child is male or female or which vehicle they were travelling in. -- 2025-01-13 -

Bangkok Taxi Driver Slashes Passenger's Face in Violent Attack
Perhaps I missed something in the article it said driver was restrained by other passengers ( of same taxi ride?) If so its still no excuse for knife attack but he could have felt threatened? We have half a story -

Pope Francis Condemns ‘Fake News’ for Fuelling Assassination Attempts on Donald Trump
"the pontiff emphasized the destructive power of false information in creating societal division and distrust." Then the pontiff should have admonished the very one who he is seen joking with in this article picture. After all, who doesn't know that the Felon Elect represents the epitome of disinformation?
