Right.

It would work just fine.

Just drill out the hole and push in a plug-valve.

Rim profiles are close enough.

Tire bead will seat okay.

Well he obviously don't know that buddy. ????

  • They are not the cheapest, but I look at it this way ... All that is keeping me upright and on the road is those 2 small contact patches. Makes sense to me to ensure they are the highest quality

Michelin makes a really nice all season tire also.

I'm not sure it's the tyres, it's riding skill mainly, my stock tyres have been 100% ok, i doubt I'd notice any difference with Pirellis  but that doesn't stop iMoto trying to sell them

A moto tire-shop should know how to drill & valve a cast rim for tubeless..

The cast rims for tubeless on the papa's Nouvo look

same as profiles on Wave cast wheels.

It is different with big bikes.

Conversely,

years back papa hit a pothole too fast and

broke (bent /cracked),

front wheel of ceeber whilst on road trip.

Installed a tube and worked fine.

Ran 130kph, indicated.

Replaced wheel when home, Patty,

like B4K.

I got the biggest tyres I could get for my wave for better grip and slightly softer ride. Not a big difference over stock size and you are limited by the width of the swinging arm as to how big you can go.

What size tires did you put on your Wave? I am thinking of upsizing the rubber on a Wave that I may be buying soon.

A picture of your Wave with the oversized tires mounted would be nice to see, if possible. Thanks.

These were the biggest I could get. Any bigger and they would rub on the swinging arm. Not sure of the size and can't go out to look right now as we are away from home for a couple of nights.

As you can see from the picture not a massive difference but better than nothing.

My questions are:

  1. What tires would you recommend for my upcoming change?
  2. Can dealers order tires for me or do I need to take in my own?
  3. Approximate prices on any tire suggestions offered would be appreciated.

Just go to any decent Castrol Bike Point.

They will have tires. If you wish visit all such places near you.

I used to use Bridgestone Battlax BT-39SS on my Wave but you mentioned light dirt roads.

I'm using ND Rubber on my Zoomer. same tread pattern as Michelin City Grip. I only use the bike mostly in town. If I go on gravel roads I'm usually bouncing along at about 30 kph.

Price somewhere around 1500 baht a set.
