2 doses of AZ might not offer much (if any) protection against getting infected with Omicron, but it still offers protection against hospitalisation and death.

  • So how exactly will expats get access to these boosters after three months????? I've been looking and have found no program yet for those of us that had 2 AZ jabs.

  • The full report is here in pdf format and its from the UK Health Security Agency Agency https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/1040076/Technica

Hmm.

We really need a lot more info about your specifics to know if its relevant to the group being talked about, 2 previous AZ jabs, being honest about having done that already, probably no yellow book.

As you seem unwilling to share info, sorry but your report should be discounted.

Going off thailandintervac site, Pfizer is mentioned as being available some places, no mention of boosters at all, no mention of booster eligibility rules.

The link to Medpark today shows no bookings open to anyone for anything.

Of more interest to me is Bangkok Hospital Pattaya as I live there and am sick of having to schlep to Bangkok.

There Pfizer boosters for people that had two AZ jabs is mentioned for pre registration!

But wait.

Only for

  • Receive AstraZeneca 1st and 2nd dose [over 6 months]

The government now says 3 months!

Thank you for contacting us and for having interest with our healthcare services.

Please be informed that after Dec 15, 2021, we won’t have Pfizer due to not get the new lot from MOPH and DDC.  Pfizer is the allocated vaccine from Thai Government.

There is only AZ available till Dec 27, 2021. We also have the selective vaccine; Moderna which it costs 1,650 THB per a dose which you can make the reservation, if you want and the vaccine can be received until Dec 27, 2021.

ces.

Based on the reference vaccine information from MOPH released on 9 Dec, 2021, the interval time AZ + AZ + Moderna; should be 3-6 months from the last dose.

If you received the 2 dose  18 oct, 2021; then, the 3rd booster will be the mid of Jan, 2022

Greetings from MedPark Hospital

Thank you for contacting us and for having interest with our healthcare services.

If  you would like to get Moderna in Dec 27, 2021; then, our staff will ask you to sign Against Medical Advice (AMA) upfront. If it is OK for you; then, please follow the below instruction.

•          1 dose: 1,650 THB.

•          2 doses: 3,300 THB.
