Bluetooth Headset.

Featured Replies

I use a Bluetooth headset, with earplugs.

Can I use the same headset on different devices, ie on my desktop, laptop and

smartphone?

I understand each device will have to be set separately, right?

Sorry about asking such a simple thing, there are no farangs I can ask near me.

My BOSE Bluetooth headset has to be paired with each device separately.

Thanks. so I can have three different devices paired with my headset.

Yes but only one at a time? Meaning you have to turn off the pairing on the other the two. I believe.

Yes, of course you can.

For instance, my iPad has a profile for my BT headset in settings, when I need to move to my Mac, then I go to settings and  disconnect from the iPad and connect to the Mac mini.

Yes

Also, there are some headsets that have something called Multipoint where you can have your Headset connected at the same time to your (for example) TV and also to your phone.

he was correct, one at the time, if you want 2 at the time it's a little more complicated and woudn't advise to get there, I have 3 devices (TV, Tablet and Mobile) using Jabra and no problem as long as I disconnect one before connecting the other

If your headset DOESN'T have multi-point capability, then you have to disconnect from one source before making a connection to a different source

@Mavideol

The maxi pairings that your device however could be limited, how many depends of course on your device. Mine can have 8 pairings max, if I want to connect to nr 9 it will replace the device that was first paired of the existing paired devices.

(I Only have 3 pairings, Phone, AppleTV and PC)
