Popular Post bkk6060
555... road accidents. What an oxymoron. And, 1/3 from DUI. That is very high, I guess they never saw the government memo request not to drink and drive. Edited January 2, 2022 by bkk6060 3
Popular Post mikebell
'Authorities have set up 1,907 checkpoints, with 66,969 officers deployed nationwide, to ensure motorists comply with traffic rules and regulations.' What an utter waste of money! Checking vehicle documentation does not take bad drivers off the road. RTP force do nothing all year round then, as a reward, get paid overtime for 14 days work during the 2 X 7 'dangerous days.' If accidents are down by 25% it's because traffic is down by 25%; it's nothing to do with Thailand's lazy and inept police force. 5

If the population have all lost their jobs and starving, how can they possibly afford to travel.

In areas such as National Parks where there are winding hilly roads it's common to see vehicles heading downhill with brakes overheating. I've been a passenger in some. I've also seen cars that have stopped on a hill and don't know how to start again on a hill. I've had to drive a car up a ramp in a car park as the guy couldn't pull away after sopping half way up the ramp. 2

Quite often it's one of those old small Mazda pickups. I can't remember the name but they seem to always be driving slowly. It's not so much speed that's the problem as appropriate speed which so many can't seem to achieve.
