The professor poses a worrisome question. If Russia nukes Ukraine, US and Nato policy ( according to retired General Petraeus) would be to destroy all Russian forces in Ukraine and destroy Russia's fleet in the Black Sea.

Then Russia may consider itself at war with NATO and WW3 begins

So what to do?

Arm Ukraine with nuclear weapons and inform the Russians is my input

The same figure we could learn from EC President Ursula vdL about the other side of the war. (However, it was later retracted somehow...)

It does not need so much - nor the nukes - for the WW3 beginning. Wasn't it recently quite at the edge when the Ukraine missile landed in Poland, killing 2 farmers?

The Russians would not need to be informed - they would know anyway - and any siting of nuclear weapons would be destroyed long before they were a threat.

It was corrected with an explanation from Deputy chief spokeswoman "The estimation used, from external sources, should have referred to casualties, i.e. both killed and injured, and was meant to show Russia‘s brutality."

Always good to see when mistakes are made they are admitted to.

False equivalence. Nuke missiles will use GPS or in the case of Russia GLONASS at a static target. The missile that landed accidentally in Poland was a SAM which must track, home in on and hit a high-speed target that may be changing direction. Far more error for mistake.

False equivalence? Quite a big excitement and embarrassment of some. And that a signal to WW3 was recognized by not so few?

Anyway, a deafening silence since that...

Similarly as of the "sabotage" of the gas pipelines  - but perhaps also a "false equivalence?

Russia is ready to negotiate with all parties involved in the war in Ukraine but Kyiv and its Western backers have refused to engage in talks, President Vladimir Putin said in an interview aired on Sunday.

An adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said Putin needed to return to reality and acknowledge it was Russia which did not want talks.
"Russia single-handedly attacked Ukraine and is killing citizens," the adviser, Mykhailo Podolyak, tweeted. "Russia doesn't want negotiations, but tries to avoid responsibility."

False equivalence to a nuclear missile error which is almost impossible unlike a SAM. Nothing to do with the pipeline.

Ukraine Anger Over Von Der Leyen's Unverified '100,000 Dead Soldiers' Claim

Ukraine has hit back at a claim by the European Commission's president that 100,000 of Kyiv's troops have been killed since Russia's invasion in February

Ursula von der Leyen used the number in a video address, prompting Kyiv's armed forces to state that the death toll was "classified information." Footage of her speech has since been edited to cut the reference.

In Russia, the state-owned news agency Tass was among the media outlets to seize on the high figure and to say the European Commission had "removed information about 100,000 dead Ukrainian servicemen."

Infighting between Russian mass murderer Igor Girkin who was one of the 3 found guilty of the Lockerbie plane strike and his threats to Vladimir Solovyov, one of Putin's chief propagandists on state TV:

Convicted mass murderer Igor Girkin has threatened one of the Kremlin’s top propagandists, Vladimir Solovyov, in a video shared on social media on Dec. 23.

Girkin, a Russian secret service agent who served as one of the main handlers for the Donetsk puppet authority, said that he wouldn’t allow Solovyov to flee Russia if the war was lost for the Russian side, the threat came following Solovyov mocking of Girkin for his alleged failures when Girkin was sent to the frontlines in Ukraine,  Solovyov said he "<deleted> off" and then fled back to Russia.

In turn, Girkin, who was recently convicted of mass murder for the deaths of the passengers on flight MH17, promised to make efforts to prevent the Russian propagandist from fleeing to Israel after the fall of the Kremlin regime.

"If our generals continue to fight like they did the last ten months, we have all chances to lose this war,” Girkin said.

Ukraine has said Vladimir Putin "needs to come back to reality" in response to the Russian president's claim that he is ready to negotiate.

On a day which saw Russia launch rocket attacks on dozens of frontline towns, Mr Putin had told state broadcaster Rossiya 1 that the Kremlin was "ready to negotiate with everyone involved about acceptable solutions".

What an explanation of a harmless error for mistake...

Anyway, wondering why it was further claimed by Ukraine as being shot by Russia, further on and on even when Biden has already declared it differently.

BTW, there were some alleged news (not proven) that it landed very close to a large warehouse with fertilizer that could have brought a huge explosion such as happened in Libanon 2 years ago. (but obviously a conspiracy theory...)

What part of false equivalence do you not understand? In addition when a SAM system engages a target, the debris from both the SAM and targeted missile falls in an unknown direction.
