I stopped listening to their music after I heard that song.

Would you also be astounded to learn U.K. cases of infection, deaths and hospitalisation  are spiking upwards again…partygate just keeps on giving.

Not that I’m against lifting restrictions. Vaccination levels are such in the U.K. that it was the right way to go. But it was clearly rushed through on political grounds rather than medical ones.

I will still mask up when I’m there mind but that’s just pure contrariness on my part.

Here in Denmark we dropped all restrictions 7 weeks ago, and here is a chart from last 3 months.

I pinpointed the day we dropped the mandatory masks and as you can see it didn't create any major spikes.

It continued to rise a bit for a little while but that was also due to schools opening and such but it clearly shows that dropping the masks didn't cause any problems.

We practically stopped taking about covid 19 here at work and in society.

Now it's just like the flu or cold.

If you feel sick you stay at home and that's it.

We dropped all quick test centers, but still have PCR tests, but scaled it down.

Isolating has also been cut to 4 days if you're tested positive, but you can go back to work at day 5, even if still you have minor symptoms.

It's still here and yesterday we had 6300 cases from 33000 PCR tests, but life goes on without masks or restrictions.

He was probably just telling his supporters what they wanted to hear.

He seems to like foreign schools though, from what I remember...

p.s. we are all a bunch of animals anyway.

Yet he is ok when he stays in London down park lane in Dorchester Hotel eating in Hard Rock cafe.

As other posters said it's what his fan base wants to hear. It sells records.  He probably loved it at Wembley getting VIP treatment at the League Cup final.

Yes, the UK's Covid figures are rising, but this was expected with all restrictions lifted,,

But What about Thailands Covid spike , and they haven't lifted any restrictions...

They have totally lost control of the plot, the virus, testing and follow up. We are witnessing the floundering of tens of thousands of unqualified, empty suit officials.

Well done Denmark, but the UK stats have spiked in all areas, infections, hospitalisations and deaths.

And yet again I did say lifting restrictions made sense given vaccination numbers but it was rushed forward because of partygate not medical considerations.

Yes there are covid testing teams door knocking and offering testing, but it is voluntary to take the test. But do not let mere facts get in the way of a good rant or conspiracy theory. Most likely wastewater sampling is showing covid in areas with no known cases, so a bit of cross checking to validate data, a boring logical reality unfortunately.

Good information, but I'd sure like to see the new cases as a percentage of actual tests.  It's quite possible that changes in restrictions forced more, or fewer people in to get tested.

For example, when the US gub'ment sent out hundreds of millions of free test kits to households.  What a great way to keep the fear going...  More tests = more cases.
