webfact Posted March 23, 2022 Posted March 23, 2022 Picture: Daily News A CCTV video posted to the site on Facebook that translates as "So You Wanna Be Famous, Return Part 3" showed the dramatic moment when three Pitbull terriers invaded a house in Kanchanaburi. The owner's child had been playing with a cat. The child fled for safety to an inside room narrowly avoiding becoming a victim of the savage animals, posted the father in a report picked up by Daily News. The beasts then turned their attention to the family's pet cat that was ripped to shreds. Keep up to date with all things Thailand - Join our daily ASEAN NOW Thailand Newsletter - Click to subscribe The father said that a monk at the nearby temple kept four Pitbulls that had got loose and were in an area behind his house before the attack. He said he dreaded to think what might have happened to his child had the dogs been able to get to the child rather than be distracted by the cat. He called on the authorities to act. Popular Post Will B Good Posted March 23, 2022 Popular Post Posted March 23, 2022 Interesting.......watch the unedited version............ Popular Post island coconut Posted March 23, 2022 Popular Post Posted March 23, 2022 Pit Bulls are DANGEROUS animals and should be BANNED nationwide. My former neighbor had two of them and I once watched them bring down a cow! 8

Popular Post JonnyF Posted March 23, 2022 Popular Post Posted March 23, 2022 Dog kills cat. Shocking news. Whatever next? Cat kills mouse? Lizard kills fly? The dogs clearly should have been kept under control. Very irresponsible ownership once again. However, as Will B pointed out the fact that the kid is clearly teasing the dogs by deliberately placing the cat in the middle of the floor where they can see it wouldn't have helped either. 4 1

The news station messed around with the order of it a bit, but it looked to me like he placed the cat in the middle of the floor, then opened the glass doors but closed the flyscreen. Then it cuts, and the dogs charge through the fly screen and chase the cat out of the room where they presumably caught it. They don't seem at all interested in the kid. Not sure exactly what the kid was trying to achieve but he was clearly aware of the dogs and was teasing them with the presence of the cat. Unlikely to end well for the cat. A combination of poor dog ownership and a very young kid not really thinking through the consequences of his actions. 2 3

Missed the fly screen bit......maybe the kid was teasing, thinking there was no way the dogs would barge through the fly screen???? 3

Would you euthanize a cat for torturing a bird for a couple of hours before leaving it twitching to it's slow death? It's instinct - my Thai mutts kill rats, chickens, snakes, squirrels all the time. Anything that moves in fact. They actually quite liked our cat but the feeling wasn't mutual so it decided to go live with the neighbours. That's cat loyalty for you ????. As for the kid, kids that age don't really assess risk well or consider the consequences of their actions. I'm sure the trauma of seeing the cat's demise will have taught him a valuable lesson. 1

Popular Post RobU Posted March 23, 2022 Popular Post Posted March 23, 2022 A dog killed one of our cats it had previously attacked and injured a goat and threatened members of my fiancés family, there were other incidents in the village. The owner knew all of this yet continued to allow it to roam free, it has since disappeared, hopefully to a shallow grave somewhere in the forest. The owner claims to be a nice guy and even my fiancé says that he is. My opinion was that he should have been charged and incarcerated. Once a dog has killed in this way it will go after other small helpless animals including children. These animals don't see the difference between a human being and another animal they are only loyal to their pack (the owner and family) and even then they will still attack children they think are usurping their pack status. Sadly child deaths and serious injury due to dog attacks are reported in the media at least twice a year in the UK. The response of the owner is always that he dog was a 'lovely animal, friendly and playful'. The owners humanise these animals and expect human responses they forget that dogs are a dangerous animals. The smallest dog can rip a child's face to shreds and this has also happened in the UK. 3
Popular Post greenmonkey Posted March 23, 2022 Popular Post Posted March 23, 2022 Thailand will have a REAL problem very soon with pitbulls... at the moment so many Thai's are buying them and once the novelty wears off what then!? They get 'donated' to the local Wat where they will start breeding with the soi dogs... and then the real fun and games begins. Absolutely crazy that this is being allowed to happen. 4 1

I just DON'T get this mentality that seems to be the norm here. If I knew there was even the smallest chance that someone might get hurt because I did not take certain steps - i would not be able to sleep at night. Yet these certain types of people just don't seem to give a damn. 3 1
