  • Good to see the tourist areas coming back to life....ladyboys robbing tourists in Pattaya...guns in Patong...

  • I knew business was bad, but didn't imagine its that bad to use a gun on a customer to come in to dine presumably...

  • So 'macho man' pulled the gun out, the tourist told him to go <deleted> himself and he ran away.   Non event.

yep good old days are back

Phuket offered an expensive and unpleasant experience for tourists before the tsunami, after the tsunami, before the pandemic, and now after the pandemic. Everything from hospitality staff to taxi drivers is unpleasant for tourists in Phuket.  It will never change.

I wish those in business there the best of luck.  You are constantly undermined by the poor attitude towards tourists by the locals, and entrenched corruption across the whole island by those in power.

Just to put a few things straight in regards to the original report. Bank, the accused, is known to a lot of us who frequent Bangla. He is a street "boy" and stands with a small group every day, half way down Bangla, outside the alleyway next to the BB gun station. He does not promote restaurants (may be sells flip flops and hand bags ????) and all the "action" was caught, and witnessed by the police on CCTV cameras.
