If you want an example to the dictionary definition of delusional this would fit rather nicely.

Big mouth Macron tried that.
Putin laughed at him.

By the way, where is Angela, when we need her.  In hiding as always.
Isn't she a good friend of Putin?

And that is where Thailand comes in. As hosts of the APEC summit, to be held later this year in November, Thailand has a unique role to play in global diplomacy if it chooses to pursue that course. Of course, that would require the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to change its mandate and be more proactive in diplomacy.

With so much at stake, Thai mediation in the crisis may seem like a far-fetched dream but if the men and women at the MFA could dream big enough, it is an opportunity for a diplomatic win that doesn’t come around very often.

Well, Don Pramudwinai is one of the few members of this (bottom of the barrel) administration who actually has experience in his ministry, having served as ambassador to China, North Korea, and Mongolia, then ambassador to the EU, and as a permanent representative to the UN, and very briefly as ambassador to the US. However, Thailand does not appear to engage in much diplomacy as a 3rd party. Does he or anyone else in his ministry have any experience with this? What does Thailand bring to the table? What can they offer? Look at their history. Look at how incredibly timid, and morally bankrupt they have been in regard to the Burmese military fiasco. Can they shed the cloak of timidity long enough to be of service to anyone, other than themselves?

Thailand also has a role in ASIAN but has done nothing to denounce the atrocities going on in Myanmar, right on its doorstep

they can not denounce a copy cat ally

The title of this topic has been rolling on the floor laughing.  Thailand diplomatically is like the three monkeys that hear, see, and speak no evil. Other than some bureaucratic talk non-involvement/neutrality in foreign affairs such as the Russia invasion of Ukraine is priority one for Thailand.
