I was minding my own business here in Dubai, when a Thai lady in Abu Dhabi sent me a Facebook friend request. I responded, and she immediately messaged me. After a few messages, she began talking about not having a job. Instant block.

 

A great example of a lazy Thai lady. She probably gets by fishing for suckers on the internet. Easy money.

 

I can’t imagine that anyone would send money to a lady they haven’t met, but there are such idiots.

Daughter graduated Uni last year, offered job where she interned, and where she applied elsewhere, but declined, 25-30k a month starting salary.  Choosing self employment instead, on my advice, so I did support her for 6 months, while getting started.

 

Spent 6 months developing her own online business.  Found she had too much time on her hands, so took the job offered where she interned at while in last year of Uni.  Started at 28k, now averages 40+k a month (less than 6 months in), and in another year, hopes to be knocking on 100k a month, just on the salaried job.

 

Buying a 2.6 mill baht house in August, for investment only.  No assistance from me, after she started working.  None for the house purchase.

 

Understand not all can take Uni classes full time, but really not necessary to.  Can do both, uni & work, just takes longer.   Or work while trying self employment part time.  Many restaurant owners started as street vendors.   Many hobbyist turned their passion into businesses.

 

Those putting in the effort, and choosing wisely can easily be successful here, as anywhere, when applying one's self.

Of course being raised in an international environment with solid economic compare to those who have toxic parents and environment where there is few role models and few chances to succeed after years indoctrinated in the village schools and temples.

They are happy while their clients are very frustrated.

So yeah, they are the laziest you can find here and they reproduce much faster than the hard working ones. The supply seems to be growing but as the demand, given how unhappy and dysfunctional couples are in the west. Seems that the lazy bar girl is still a better choice than the annoying Farang lady.

This is for the bottom of the society, despite being very obvious the most desperate of us will want to believe otherwise. Then come the less obvious, not the bar girl but the gold digger and again they have a happy market. I keep seeing the friends of my wife, or friends of friends getting rich with farang boyfriend or sponsors, boyfriend from Australia coming few months a year while Chinese boyfriend stays near himself having few gik.

I have a friend ready to blow his lifetime budget after knowing a Thai girl for 2 weeks, because she is not the same... She sent photos of her working at 5 am loading fruits on a pick up and her boss threw salad at her face, she is old and fat and she keeps telling him she doesn't want money, so she can't be bad, meanwhile she has a house in Bangkok (but she told him she doesn't have the right to sell as it's near a temple) and her dream is to renovate it, also she would need a car to work as grab.

All this to say they know how we think, they even have group on internet to teach how to <deleted> us, what they should say to receive money, how to make us pity etc.

Thailand is a paradise for sex and fun, not so much for love.

Please fellow suckers, stop over feeding the lazy bar girl.

I knew this lady when she first came to work on Soi 6. Within a month, she was with child, and the baby has been supported by the Aussie father.  She never went back to Soi 6, and lived with her Thai husband in Bangkok.

The bar girls I used to hang around, very rarely have 2-3 customers a week. They had a few long time bf sending money, and went off when they felt the need. 

 

These bars where busy serving customers with drinks, and the girls got more money working long hours instead of going with cheap customers.

I live in the same reality as you - I'm a Patong barfly six nights a week for six months a year (in season) and a keen people watcher and VERY few of the girls EVER get barfined, let alone three times a night!

Pareto principle to the max in this industry. A very small percentage of women are making huge money while most are making peanuts. Top women are probably making 1-5M+ baht a month, especially the entertainment industry prostitutes, oops I mean actresses and models.

Typically, bargirls are now operating under 10 day contracts. But, it’s unusual for a lady to work the 10 days. The reason is, when their bar shuts down, the ladies head for the boy bars that don’t close until 6 am. Which means the ladies are still hungover when their bar opens.
