I would be surprised if no high ranking Royal attends the funeral.

Princess Sirindhorn was traveling in Europe over the last days (Germany, Switzerland). Maybe she will attend?

Agreed. Perhaps Thailand's royals were not invited?

Doubt if the royals would waste their time, even if they were.

I don't attend funerals of people I knew, let along people I didn't know.

N mention of any Thai representative in the list published in London Daily Telegraph.  Poor show.

Thai Ambassador showed up somewhere during the 'event'.  You may need better news sources.  But don't let that stop you.

Pisanu Suvanajata, Thai Ambassador to the United Kingdom was at the funeral.

Funeral attendance was by invite only.... So it's not as if Prawit (or ‘someone' else) could just turn up, that said, diplomatic channels could have highlighted intent.

Invites were sent to the Heads of State. So where the Head of State is none elected The King/Queen/President would be the representative. All heads of European Monarchy attended as well as numerous others. Countries, like Ireland, Israel, Germany, South Korea and Italy, sent their Presidents. Where the President is also the political leader then they will have been invited eg USA, France, Turkey, Brazil attended. China sent its Vice President as did a number of other countries. The wife of the Ukrainian President attended on his behalf. I believe a had a minor matter to deal with at the time. Owing to strained diplomatic relations the ambassadors of Iran, Nicaragua and North Korea attended. The following countries were not invited Russia, Belarus, Myanmar, Syria, Venezuela and Afghanistan. Representatives from the UN, the EU and the Vatican city also attended.

Obviously there were circumstances where the ambassadors of some countries had to attend for whatever reason.

150 countries were represented. Only the Presidents of the USA and Israel were allowed to use their own cars.

The Thai community in the UK is 'not happy', by their county's representation.

Anyone know why Biden was late? He had to wait for a procession.

Yes.

He insisted on an exception to go there by the Beast instead of by bus for very good security reasons.

However, the Beast got stuck in traffic resulting in Joe and Jill Biden needing to wait for further back 14th row seats than they would have gotten if they weren't late.

Don't be late for such a momentous funeral.

If you look at the Royal news on Thai TV in the evenings you see a Royal plus a lot in the entourage ,as has been said she is/was in Germany and France, this past week compete with large entourage ,as the invitation would have been for one ,maybe two people ,she could /would not go on her own ,no one to hold her bag.

Not her call and the invitation wasn't ignored by her.
