Or do you expect every single news report on his whereabouts to reprint the entire transcript of the trial just for you?

Because he asked for so in this forum - the  only place on earth where his voice is heard among his fellow members.

The fact that he has been on the run for nearly a year now suggests it hasn't been that simple finding him, the sad thing is he will probably have friends and family helping him out financially despite his heinous crime, probably spun them a story denying it and they probably fell for it.

Ronald Biggs did well. Legend.

Although he did go back to the UK and serve his prison sentence, when the money ran out .

Survived his last few years from tourists buying him drinks

Some people are concerned about how the UK authorities know certain people are in Thailand .

They see rapists in the UK being hunted by the UK authorities and they are concerned about how thy knew his whereabouts

I met him the other night playing pool in a bar in Rawai.

He told me he was ex special forces but I assumed he was having a laugh.

But now I have seen him in his fatigues his story checks out.

Nah, when they were looking or me I was 'believed to be somewhere in Asia'.

Lots of people from the west change flights at Bangkok/Mumbai, doesn't mean they are staying in Thailand/India.

Once you've left the West the trail goes fairly cold.

This guy could be anywhere.

How can a man charged with rape not have his Passport taken off him and not placed on a no fly list?  This is a almighty screw up by the UK justice system.

Not necessarily the whole justice system but perhaps only by that court. Having said that, it would depend on the exist laws and if there was any way he was legally allowed out on bail and if he had an existing passport.

If he did was there any way he could be made to hand it in. If he handed it in, he could claim that he had lost it or it was stolen and get another. How easy that would be I don't know but it used to be fairly easy to get second passport for 'business' use.

While there is usually good communication between the court and the local police forces, to block his passport would mean the court making an order to the passport office and also to the UK Border Force, and they in turn would have to post that info to every airport and seaport in the UK.

Perhaps he could have gone to Belfast (no passport check) and over the border to the south and flown from there.

If he was out on bail who knows what what he got up to?

Well if he is in Thailand ????????

let's hope the Thai immigration people spring  into action and detain him then deport back  to the UK ????????????

Let's see what happens in the coming days  weeks ect ????

They might respond.

I think "spring into action" is a tad optimistic!

Innocent until proved guilty, being charged does not make you guilty.

No, BUT if there is a risk of escaping during the waiting period before the case comes up in court, the passport can be temporarily revoked - which obviously shold have been done in this case ....

Hmmm…. We can have every confidence this man will be located and arrested in Thailand? ( try saying that with a straight face)

“The substantial custodial sentence imposed by the court today reflects the gravity of the offending and we will now do all we can to find Foster and ensure he is returned to the UK to serve his sentence.”

Do you bit Thailand.. find this monster and send him back to face his fate.
