BANGKOK, Nov 11 (TNA) – The Immigration Bureau has mobilized its personnel to welcome visitors who are arriving considerably, to prevent congestion at airports.

 

Pol Maj Gen Choengron Rimpadee, spokesman for the Immigration Bureau, said immigration police were fully deployed to receive visitors due to heavy inbound traffic.

 

He was speaking in response to online pictures showing large crowds of visitors waiting for their immigration process in the arrival area of Suvarnabhumi airport on Nov 10.

O yeah no problem, I just tell the pilot to change the departure time and fly faster. International flights are known to authorities 2 weeks before already, they know what they can expect, they are wrong only.

Saw the lines on a Facebook post. Looked worse than the last debacle they had which caused the Airport to be Inspected and a promise made to ensure that all immigration channels would be opened.  Appateny the promise never saw fruition...sad really since High Season is here.

Yeah just too funny, we are not even at 1/4th of numbers as well. But for APEC they can find 30,000 people to work in no-time.

What? No mention of "unfair criticism"? What has happened since pre-pandemic that is making things so bad - or even worse, than before at times? It seems to me that they have reduced the size of one of the main immigration halls and given oven part of it to "visa on arrival" applicants from sub-continent and other territories. Came in again last Saturday night at 10pm and it was a ghost town. Through in about 1 minute. Just wanted to get home after a long day so didn't explore.

 

You gotta give credit to Thai people for their resilience.

57k arrivals yesterday at Suvarnabhumi.  Looks like a day from pre-covid times.
