Thai Rath reported that the chief of the Royal Thai Police Pol Gen Damrongsak Kittipraphat had ordered the immediate transfer of the commander of the Chonburi provincial police away from his duties in the eastern seaboard province.

The transfer to RTP HQ in Bangkok is immediate and will be ongoing until further notice.

An investigation is underway into the behavior of Pol Maj-Gen Kitthanet Thanananwisin.

Damrongsak said their are grounds for suspicion of misconduct by Kitthanet in both a disciplinary and possibly criminal capacity.

Keeping him in Chonburi could hinder an investigation and leave the RTP open to claims of misconduct.

The transfer concerns the changing of a suspect in a case involving debt reclaiming that resulted in a pistol whipping at a pool villa in Jomtien, Pattaya.

Love these gala uniform galleries on the government websites.

Does anyone remember the pistol whipping at the villa?  To think a cop organized that is scary. That's the stuff that would keep TAT numbers down, perhaps maybe could.
