THE Justice Ministry said an airplane that belongs to a company in which arrested Chinese grey capitalist Mr. Chaiyanat Kornchaiyanana, alias Tu Hao, holds a stake has been seized, Matichon newspaper said.

Officials from the Office of the Narcotics Control Board (ONCB) had earlier been unable to seize this airplane, parked at Ban Bo Fai Airport, Hua Hin district, Prachuap Khiri Khan province, after the inspection officer found that it was not registered in the name of Chaiyanat, who surrendered earlier this week after being slapped with drug charges, Sub.-Lt. Thanakrit Jit-Areerat, Justice Minister Somsak Thepsuthin’s secretary said.

However ONCB later found that Chaiyanat is a shareholder of the company that owns this airplane and seized it.

Not fair.  Chinese criminals can blend in with the local Chinese-Thai population.  Western bad guys have no such cover.

Judging from the picture that plane seen much better days and probably not worth much, but the fact that they have been able to put their hands on it means a lot for them...

That airport where aircraft was impounded is a military airport. For his last flight it took from don muang military base, which is next to DMK. That was reported the last week.
Drug dealing on a large scale, money laundering is not grey economy, it's serious crime, beyond black economy.
"Slap with charges" sounds as those charges were light, a reprimand, warning, suspended sentence. But he well might get very long sentence, possibly life.
If secretary of minister of justice talks about that case it means, that this case has political background.
It's not an ordinary criminal case. That arrest coincided with several other ethic chinese dealers, so they might be connected and organised crime carries harsher sentences Possibly that widespread action was under diplomatic request from chinese embassy. And might point to smuggling drugs to china.

Time to share the booty

Search for Jaras Aviation Thailand (The registered owner) then hazard a guess as to how long the plane will remain seized.

If they have no CCP  connections then send them back, I fully support the CCP dealing with them -  harshly. (That's about all I support them on !)

Tail number recently changed from HS-PSL to HS-HAO, Hao being the mafia nickname of this chinese-thai gangster.

Said to have been previously owned by "an influential politician from Nakhon Ratchasima".

I think we know who that is, based on his well-known interest in flying, but cannot say for fear of retribution.

“Chuwit” posted on Facebook to emphasize the position Moving forward to reveal the gray Chinese capital

Mr. Chuvit said that the fear of this group of people showed a very high influence One of the evidence presented today is It’s a photo of a private jet. with information that it was bought second-hand from a large politician in Nakhon Ratchasima Province, the letters on the tail of the machine were changed from HS-PSL to HS-HAO

I wonder how far the investigation will go, will it engulf influential Thais with connections to these people?
